We had drove and checked into out Hotel. They were very nice and had some great info on events going on about town and even offered us informaion on a free shutte that they ran to and from downtown if we were interested. The free shuttle is a great option if you don't want to pay for parking in the downtown Savannah. Anyway...we went into our room and were very surprised we were only paying like $50 a night on a deal we found on hotels.com and the room had a hair dryer, coffee maker, fridge, iron and ironing board, huge bed plenty of towels and was very clean. It was a nice sized room too! If ...

The Doubletree doesn't fit the historic surroundings very well, but we were able to overlook this since it was very nice, right in the historic district, and gave a great view. Bistro Savannah was a nice place to eat and had a cool vibe, but was greatly overpriced. The food was good, just not $30 per plate good. Club One was supposed to be the hottest dance club in Savannah, I guess Sunday just isn't the night to go. There was hardly anybody there. We abandoned our tour of River Street later in the week to return. It had livened up some, but not much so I'm guessing the weekends must be their ...
