Arrived in San Diego in the morning. It was bizarre flying over a hill and down into the bay. We hitched a ride in the car rental shuttle bus and picked up our rental car. It was another Chevy Cobalt. We were happy with it in Boston so were happy to use another one in San Diego. Five minutes later we were checking in to our hotel downtown. Be prepared to pay an extra parking charge if you stay downtown. Even with the parking charge, ,it's still less expensive to stay downtown versus near the beaches.
