Today we arrived at Los Angeles International Airport after some fourteen hours flying. It took some time to find a suitable money vending machine (ATM) as quite a few of them were broken. We had been given instructions to wait for a bus at the purple stop. We pushed our bags to the bus stop and waited until our bus arrived. It took quite some time. I watched as other rental buses came and went - leading me to wonder if we had even signed up with a legitimate rental company. Ah San Diego! We arrived in the early afternoon, and after a longish wait at the rental car agency we were on the road to our hotel in Old town, the Old Town Inn. We decided to walk to Old town for an early dinner and on the way we passed a palm tree bearing some odd looking fruit. We stopped at the Old Town Mexican Cafe for a tasty (and inexpensive meal). Poor M found the Margarita to be quite potent and was swooning near the end of the meal.
