Dinner or Supper Banquet? We were fortunate enough to be invited to a formal party while in Hong Kong. That was when I learned a unique culture of hosting a banquet there. A banquet is usually preceeded by a socializing period that starts from around 4 pm and lasts until around 8 pm. People usually play mahjong or just chat. Reach HK airport. Check in hotel. Wong Tai Sin Temple (黄大仙庙) Wong Tai Sin is the most famous temple in Hong Kong. In HK movies, we always watch people going there on 1st or 15th of the month to pray and get the 符 (spell-paper), etc. As I am a Christian, I just go there for sightsee and take some photo, while my sister prayed - she wanted to 还神, don't know how to say that in English. I was told that the current temple is actually moved from another place. We took the 8 o’clock flight to Hong Kong via the Philippine Airlines. I don’t have much sleep the night before and was heavily exhausted from finishing my end-of-semester deadlines in school.
