Park Hotel Suisse - Santa Marg, Santa Margherita Ligure

Don't waste your money. This hotel is rubbish The A/C did not work and we were not offered another room. The TV did not work. The cold water in the shower was just a dribble. The staff are disinterested. The Breakfast makes roadside coffee shops look 5 star There is no internet access

The view from our bedroom balcony window. We were up on a hillside and had a view of the port and across the water to the hillside full of houses..At night, all the lights in the distance were alive. The full moon casting its highlights clear across the bay water, was just awesome. The room was spacious and clean. The dining area was light and colorful, very cheery. All we had to do was walk down the hill to bayside and there were shops and restuarants all along the port. Great area. Very, very pleased. Would like to go back.

I was in Park Hotel Suisse on feb 2008. it is a wonderfull place to get relax and to reflect,meditate having a long walk by the peacefully sea river... in the pleasent company of yur self..! The Hotel is 5 min from the center away.It is quite comfortable and they clean the room and change sheets everyday.The reception is very kind.You can get good lunch or dinner in the hhotel restaurant IN Santa Marhgerita the italian "Orange Country" you can get back your interior peace watching the fabulous views and have fun just getting "un caffe" or eating fish in some vip-places...

Stayed at this hotel in October 2008 as part of a tour. When we arrived we first thought that the hotel was OK but looks were deceiving. Once inside we noticed the very strong smell of mildew. The first room we were given was a disgrace, when we entered the smell almost knocked us over so we statred to investigate to find the source of the smell. When we entered the bathroom we found the problem, the ceiling and part of the wall in the shower was covered in black mould. We went down an complained to the manager but he told us there were no other rooms available, so we approched our tour director who managed to get us another room. This room was not much better than the first, there was a hugh water stain on the ceiling above the bed, the parquetry flooring was loose and you could kick it up and ther was rising damp on most of the walls and the smell of mildew. I suggest if you value your health DON'T STAY HERE find another hotel. The hotel should be condemned.

Park Hotel Suisse was the best hotel that I stayed at during my time in Italy. The service was excellent...Everybody was so friendly. I spent most of my time by the pool. It was extremely nice...It was never that crowded...Most people just layed out on the chairs and swinging seats. The bar was nice to go to after a day at the pool. They serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic drinks, and snacks. The crew there is very nice. We had a garden-view room and the garden was beautiful. It looked to be very well taken care off. The beds were comfortable...We had no trouble sleeping during the 4 nights we stayed there. It's in the perfect location. Nothing more to say about that...I thought it was in the perfect spot. The hotel was clean...Brought you new towels, sheets in everyday. The dining room and bar area were very clean, The staff was very friendly, The pool is cleaned every night. I very much enjoyed my stay at this hotel and next time I come to Italy, I will definently be staying there for a lot longer. The only thing I saw that I believed needed attention were the bathrooms. I think they could use some updating. I don't hold that against the hotel though...I stayed at 3 or 4 other hotels during my trip and I said the same thing for all of them too. The hotel might have done some repainting because I didn't see any chips or other problems with that. As for the upholstery being worn and having an old TV...I can't remember our TV that much. I know we had one, But we didn't watch it so I can't say whether it was old or not. And the upholstery...Everything in our room looked as if it were new. I'm basing everything I say off of the room that I stayed in. My room was just what I expected it to be. I was extremely pleased with this hotel and will definently be returning!
