Top-notch hotel, great location and service
By ,
It's very convenient to much of central London, and we used the Embankment tube station every day. As mentioned elsewhere, it would be a perfect location if you have business with the government, or otherwise in the Westminster area. Everyone was polite and extraordinarily helpful: our visitor was having trouble finding it among the nearby construction and all the other white buildings; she called the hotel, and the concierge walked down the street to meet her! The breakfasts were an excellent start to the day. The room was a tad small for a grand hotel, but quite spacious after the B&Bs (and a convent room!) from earlier in the trip, and pleasingly luxurious. We had a great view of the London Eye, very dramatic at night. The cost was a bit of a stretch for us, though with a multi-night stay the price was surprisingly reasonable, though I'd suggest making other arrangements for laundry service. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great

This place was great!!! The beds were clean and so was the room I stayed in. The view was great. The only thing I hated was you can hear Big Ben go off all the time.

Top Service
By ,
My trip to London was fantastic; my stay at the Royal Horseguards was the ultimate experience in overall quality, comfort, convenience and among the friendliest and most helpful staff that I’ve had the pleasure to encounter. Wish the same was true back at the States. The hotel is right by the embankment, within walking distance to the Theatre District, and the bustling Downtown experience. The staff really went out of their way to make you feel better than at home and took great strides to make your stay most memorable and wishing for a return stay. I cannot wait to return back to London which has become my second home away from home. If you have the opportunity stop by and experience what a hotel stay should actually be like.

Best hotel in London?!!!!!!
By ,
I've been to London over ten times since 2002 and I've tried to stay in different locations each time to get a feel of a different part of the city. This hotel is in the best location, I feel, for sightseeing, shopping, pub crawling, and just experiencing London! It also is a top-notch hotel...great service, nice rooms, elegant extras. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Absolutely Fantastic - Highly Recommended
By ,
We only stayed for one night, for a trip to London to see The Lion King @ the Lyceum theatre. We found the hotel staff to be really friendly and helpful from the moment we stepped into the building until it was time to leave. The rooms are lovely, ok in need of a bit attention in places (water stains on the ceiling), but nothing major and certainly nothing that spoilt our time there. Our friends also stayed and when asking the staff to change their bed to a double, this was seen to within a couple of hours. Not bad for a hotel that was full. The breakfast was fatastic with fresh food and courteous service. The location is 1st class, we upgraded to a river view - definately worth it. 5-10 mins walk from Covent Garden and all the theatres. Overall a really pleasant stay and highly recommended.

The Parkinsons Disease society
By ,
Firstly may I say thank you so much for taking the time to read and consider this e mail. We are planning a black tie dinner in February 2008 for the Pishon masonic Lodge of London. The event is being held at Stock Brook Manor in Billericay on 16th Feb and will have a valentine theme. Upwards of 140 people are expected to attend All monies raised from sales of Raffle tickets and all other profits will this year be donated to The Parkinsons Disease society. My father was diagnosed with this disease some 20 years ago and sadly he died in 2002 having spent his final years in a nursing home. This is a particularly cruel disease which is progressively debilitating and often leads to dementia. Many breakthroughs have been made in the treatment of this disease and with the continued support of public donations the society is hopeful that a cure is close to being found. Please could you consider donating a prize for the raffle to be held at our dinner dance in 2008 as I know this would boost our profits considerably. Thank you so much again for taking the time to read this, and please feel free to contact the Manor who will confirm that this event is taking place. disappointed
By ,
This hotel is very well located for business if you are working near goverment or Westminister areas. The staff was courteous and helpful, for directions and such, but the desk staff (check in- check out) was aloof, cold and indifferent. The charges for internet use were misleading. Where most hotels and motels are providing free or reasonably priced access charging $1 per minute or a daily (24 hour fee) is unreasonable. I understand that London is an expensive city, but based on the desk service, poor maintained room, (peeling paint, old uncomfortable bed, 1 towel and wash cloth, and no bedding change in 7 days) I would not suggest the use of this hotel.
