Schloss Rheinfels, St Goar

The room was lovely, fairly large,and beautifully maintained. The views of the Rhine were a delight, especially from the dining room alcoves. Since the hotel is part of a castle ruin, we spent an entire morning prowling the remains of the fortress. The climb to the hotel from the village was quite strenuous, so we were thankful for the little "train" that chugged us up the hill. Our only dissatisfaction was the unfriendly waitstaff in the restaurant...very condescending.
