Hotel Concorde La Fayette Paris, Paris

As another reviewer wrote, don't rely on the photos. This hotel is very run down. The "classic" rooms are scuffed, stained and cramped; the "club" rooms not much better. While the staff is nice enough the hotel has seen way better days (like maybe in the 70s) and you can stay in much better locations.

I stayed at this hotel from NYE to 3rd Jan, it was OK in average The hotel: The reception and lobby was pretty impressive and grand, the receptionist and all staff were courteous and helpful. It was just a shame that when we arrived my boyfriend was wearing baggy jeans for travel, we received ‘up and down’ stares from a few staff and other people which made us feel uncomfortable. The room: We were luckily situated on the 33rd floor, in the 'Top Executive floor'. Try to ignore the tacky 'neon - pink' lit up giant plant pot, it made me a little nauseous. The room was standard sized, very clean, a wardrobe with a bath robe in, fold out ironing board, a small TV, a mini bar. The safe was missing. Also we had requested a double bed, but got 2 singles pushed together, it was rather annoying as they just kept moving apart!! The view we got was the other side from the Eiffel tower, towards the stadium, which was still breathtaking. Bathroom was clean, with a generous basket of complimentary toiletries. The hairdryer is mounted onto the wall, as well as a 'make-up' mirror that lights up. The bathtub though, was very small, i only just fit into it and i am quite petite. The shower was OK. The overall decor of the hotel definitely needs to be renovated, cracks in the toilet, bathtub etc, and squeaky wardrobes and cupboards! But it was passable. Be warned that the air in the room was VERY dry. Keep a bottle of water by you as every morning we woke up feeling extremely dehydrated with chapped lips! Oh, and to gain free wireless access, you need to go down to the lobby and ask for a wireless card with a user-name and password on. However, every time you switch your laptop off, it resets and you need a new card. Overall, the stay was pleasant. If you don’t mind the disapproving stares from the snobby business people!

Good location.god view of Eifel tower. Small room.Run down compared to similar standard rooms in Canada. Front desk very unhelpful.Long wait to register and then told room would not be ready for four hours. Tried to get change for a 500 Euro dollar bill for 3 days without succes.Concierge desk unhelpful, incompetent and devoid of service. Breakfast O.k if you get there closer to 7a.m than 9a.m. Expensive for what you get. Would not recommend this Hotel.

Certainly not every room can have a great view, as the rooms are on both sides of the building - I saw nothing of touristic interest. The rooms are a bit shabby, have a strange smell and definitely not 4 star. Make sure you ask for a non-smoker room. Perhaps the "Club" rooms at the top floors are better but also even more expensive. A drink in the bar (which has a really great view on Eiffel tower) costs 22 EUR, for water or whiskey likewise. Breakfast is like everything disappointing.

IT WAS THE GREATEST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT I WOULD GO BACK!! the service and well every thing was great the staff were really nice every morning when i went out they would say how are you i hope you have a nice day.

This is steps away from Metro stop, attached to mall with a gourmet grocery and bakery downstairs. Every room has an amazing view of the eiffel tower. Decent morning breakfast. Remember hailing a cab in Paris is nearly impossiable, and this hotel, even on a major street the que was over an hour long.

Although the hotel is in a very good location (between La Defense and most high interest spots), a 4-star rating is certainly not deserved. The rooms were quite beaten up, the service was average,and consequently the value too high. Certainly not worth repeating again.

Very comfortable room and a vue so incredible from the room that I spent part of the night looking at Paris'lights. The staff was very polite and welcoming. My Favorite hotel in Paris.

The hotel is very nice. Unfortunately it's very difficult to change the room temperature and the temperature of the water in the shower changes constantly, so you keep adjusting all the time.
