Hilton Paris Orly Airport Hotel, Orly

The hotel was a good pick for our family of four. They had family rooms available (which consisted of a queen bed and pull out couch), it was very clean and had dark drapes to keep out the sun in the morning (nice when you want the kids to sleep in past their ususal 7 a.m.!). The only negative thing I can say is that it is quite a distance from the center of Paris but we found the shuttle helpful because it took us to the airport and we were able to pick up the train into Paris (we recommend a day pass for the Metro...as it was cheaper than single tickets for the 4 of us). The master bed was extremely firm...too firm for us...and the pull out couch sagged at the bottom but our kids were short enough that it didn't matter. The staff was friendly but it was difficult because nobody spoke english, except the waitress in the bar. Overall a great deal!

I have used the Hilton at the CDG twice in the past five years, always for the night before I return home, South Florida USA, and I have to say it has always been a pleasure. I also have to mention that, I have booked this hotel, way below the regular price, so it has been a great deal to enjoy a hotel night that usually goes for $350+, for as low as $139.00. I always recommend to book on line and a few months in advance. My husband's family own a few homes in Paris, so we are lucky enough to enjoy a regular place to stay, but nothing beats the confort of weaking up right next to the airport the morrning of your departure, more so, if it is an early international flight.

Next to Airport. Old hotel, it has sign which states its been there for 40 years. Appears to be in process of remodeling. Remodeled room are deluxe. Standard rooms are non-remodeled room. I stayed at non-remodeled room. Room adquate size. Standard bed, TV, table, bath. Nothing special. Front desk service is weak. I am member of HHonors. Diamond member (highest) No additional benefit. None of the standard benefits offered. i.e. upgrade, free breakfast, executive floor etc. Has resturant. Buffet and menu. Buffet food is of high quality, considering it's a buffet. Buffet warm, food fresh and differ each day. Desert buffet was excellent. I stayed for 15 days and noted few items that carried over from one day to the next. Items order from menu can take a long time to serve, from American standards point of view. Min. 30+ min. after ordering. Room is decent size. Decor is a bit worn and is old. Housekeeping does adequate job. May fail to replace used soap etc. Walls are thin. Can hear next room TV. Wireless internet available (Extra $) Does not work very well. Overall Service is weak. Wake-up call did not occur several times. TV did not work sometimes. TV access to billing did not work. Parking gate did not always work therefore couldn't get out.
