Cannes Palace Hotel, Cannes

On the whole the hotel was pleasant and the room was comfortable. The hotel staff were helpful but perhaps not particularly the happiest bunch of people. The restaurant however was superb with excellent cuisine and service. I ate a lot of fish dishes as the fish was cooked to perfection every evening! The swimming pool was much smaller than I had envisaged and the gym was certainly not high tech by any stretch of the imagination. The location was very good in that the hotel is situated in a quiet residential street which is only about a 10 minute walk from La Croisette and the beaches. Despite a debate regarding my bill for the minibar on my departure, I enjoyed residing at the hotel and would be happy to return.
