Hotel de l'Abbaye Saint-Germain, Paris

Overrated and expensive with snooty service. It is overrun with loud American tourists. The rooms and bathrooms are very small. We would not go back.

Hotel is a 4* classification. Other than offering a/c, has a garden, and an excellent St. Germain des Pres location, I find the hotel to be a 3* at best. There are no minibars offered and the standard rooms do not have bathrooms equipped with stand up showers. They may have the handheld type, but this is NOT available in all of the standard rooms. I've stayed at 3* hotels that may not offer minibars, but they certainly had either standup or handheld showers. I don't feel L'Abbaye is worth the high prices they charge.

This hotel was fabulous! The staff members were very kind and friendly. Complimentary breakfast (coffee, juice, croissants, bread) was served on the patio every morning. Our room was very spacious and had a doorway onto the balcony. I would highly recommend this hotel, it was a great place to stay.
