Sheraton Rio Hotel and Resort, Rio de Janeiro

What was there to dislike? Nothing... We were made to feel very safe, comfortable and VIP. The buffet was terrific. Just a short 15 minute walk to the beach or take the elevator to theirs. The only downer was that I would not take the bus tour again. To long for the two things I wanted to see. I would spurge on a taxi and it would have been cheaper too! We would love to go back to Brazil to tour Rio. Longer this time. AND to go back to Forteliza to see our friends.

We just returned from Rio and our stay at the Sheraton Rio. We loved it. The view was breath taking, the service was good, the pizza was great. I loved listening to the ocean at night instead of the sounds of a big city. I would suggest this hotel to anyone. :)

i stayed at the sheraton (dec 07) and would recommended it to anyone. PROS: 1. great value: rio is a pretty expensive place. i read some reviews saying this hotel was great but a bit far from the beaches. in a cab, it LITERALLY takes 2 minutes ($4 cab ride) to get to ipanema/leblon. that said, no hotel in rio comes close to offering such a great place (good pool, good gym, good bars, concierge, souvenir shop, etc.). other hotels in rio are just too cramped up (look closely at the pics and you'll see this is true. 2. great rooms: even though i didn't want to spend too much time in the room, i wanted a place that was CLEAN and SAFE...add to that an ocean view, and you get the rooms at the sheraton. 3. check out the sheraton website for "special offers". i found one that included breakfast - this saved me about $25 a day. 4. computers with internet access: at the lobby, they have about 5 computers with free internet access so you can check your email and keep up with stuff CONS: 1. do NOT eat at this hotel: a "normal" buffet dinner will set you back about $60-75 per person! 2. on sundays, the "private beach" is a bit crowded. however, the rest of the days, you practically have the beach for yourself.

nothing it was great. they had clean bathrooms. ballin. and great chinesse food too. its the best hotel in the world(or the best one ive been to)

It had Great Service. There was so much to do. And with a small price! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! I have to go there again or to another Sheraton. It was how do I say this awesome!

This holiday is the best holiday ive ever been on and most of our thanks would go to the hotel staff there where so friendly and polite you could tell that they enjoyed there job. The hotel was lovely and clean there was loads of activities to do and the was a fantastic view as this beach has a beach front. so therfore i give this holiday a ten out of ten rating, many thanks to the hotel staff, mwa mwa mwa xxxxxxxx

The hotel is nice, safe, most of the staff are friendly. However, it's very expensive to eat there! or consume the drinks in your room! Location is another problem, you have to take a taxi to go anywhere. the pool is samll. The spa services are very expensive and very bad quality. I will not stay there again!

the rooms are ok. the prices far exceeds the offer. the pool is small and crowded beach is tiny , dirty extremly wavy and unpopular, you raRELY go there no entertainement no way to visit around other than taxi which every day 3times a day can be quite expensive stay away if you can!
