Bug Infestation killed our vacation
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/28/06
My girlfriend and I stayed in Boquemar due to
proximity to Beach and other factors. We checked in at 4 a.m. on Friday, 9/18/06 to Wed. 9/23/06. for 6 1/2 nights and 7 days.
The bug problem was obvios right away. The fridge had small roaches and insects crawling inside. There were what appeared to be termites in the dressers and headboard, or fleas, or lice and small roaches throughout our stay. I complained to Management on 2nd day was told the hotel was fumigating, thus the outbreak of insects. My friend and I broke out in hives and have visited our Dr. here in N.Y. for further medical attention. I gave a critique at the front desk on my day of departure and related our concerns to the front desk. Athough, the staff was partially sympathetic we suffered terribly with outbreak on our skins and head. We were too complacent in not addressing the problem of infestation right away due to our inability to drive to another hotel, accomadations, etc. and our naivete. Never again will we stay in a Parador in Puerto Rico. also got stuck out on the room balcony because there was no outside knob on door. It was one the worse experiences of our lives and one that isstill impacting on our health. I would like to contact the overhead umbrella of Paradores in Puerto Rico and need help in that direction because it is not easily attainable via the internet.
