I Love Boqueron!!
By ,
I live in PR and love to stay at the Hotel when visiting Boqueron. For years my husband and I have stayed at the parador.Reading the rest of the reviews I had to write. We know it's not a five or a four or even a three star hotel. It' s a beautiful parador on a picturesque street filled with cute shops, food kiosks and small bars with the beach almost at your door. It's a place where you can walk around all day and night in a bathing suite and flip flops. Okay the beds aren't great and the water isn't hot but the food is excellent and the beach like no other place in the world. And, it's not expensive.

Horrible place to stay
By ,
I am planning my next trip to PR, and just had to add my 2 cents about my experience at this hotel the last time I was in the area. My husband and I stayed here for a night, hoping for a nice little getaway - but all I wanted to do was GET AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL! The rooms were ugly - kind of hospital-like, the staff was rude, and they have a big bug problem (don't recommend eating at their restaurant). Oh, and if they did not give you enough towels, you better prep yourself for a fight! When we got into our room, there were only hand towels . . . I wasted 15 minutes of my life arguing with the very rude gal in the front desk who had a hard time believing me - even calling the cleaning lady to say that I was wrong! Completely out of line - Even after more than 2 years I am still mad about it!

Good Parador
By ,
We had a good time at boquemar this summer, the locations is perfect. Also is close to the beach. I personally did not have any problem there, the only things was that we stayed on the 3rd and we had to take the stairs, "there were not elevator". But that was not too bad because I ate alot and I relly needed an extra workout. The food in the restaurant was really delicious and cheap. This resort is a good place to stay with A/C but remember this is a Parador in Puerto Rico not a 5 stars hotel, if you want perfection go to hotel and pay tripe the price for the same service. This is a place to have fun, and to enjoy the sun.

Bug Infestation killed our vacation
By ,
My girlfriend and I stayed in Boquemar due to proximity to Beach and other factors. We checked in at 4 a.m. on Friday, 9/18/06 to Wed. 9/23/06. for 6 1/2 nights and 7 days. The bug problem was obvios right away. The fridge had small roaches and insects crawling inside. There were what appeared to be termites in the dressers and headboard, or fleas, or lice and small roaches throughout our stay. I complained to Management on 2nd day was told the hotel was fumigating, thus the outbreak of insects. My friend and I broke out in hives and have visited our Dr. here in N.Y. for further medical attention. I gave a critique at the front desk on my day of departure and related our concerns to the front desk. Athough, the staff was partially sympathetic we suffered terribly with outbreak on our skins and head. We were too complacent in not addressing the problem of infestation right away due to our inability to drive to another hotel, accomadations, etc. and our naivete. Never again will we stay in a Parador in Puerto Rico. also got stuck out on the room balcony because there was no outside knob on door. It was one the worse experiences of our lives and one that isstill impacting on our health. I would like to contact the overhead umbrella of Paradores in Puerto Rico and need help in that direction because it is not easily attainable via the internet.

Loved the hotel hated the beds
By ,
This was my first time going to the west side of the island of Puerto Rico. We decided to stay at the Parador Boquemar as a recommendation from my Uncle who had stayed there in the past. It was a group of us that walked in and inquired about vacancies and we thought we would give it a try. The restaurant staff was very friendly and accomadating however the front desk crew were clueless when it came to the area. We inquired about local restaurants and places to see and we were told however when asked how to get there we were given evassive answers. As far as the rooms are conserned the beds were like sleeping on a ton of bricks and very uncomfortable. I don't think that at $80 a night the hotel was worth the price. I stayed at a hotel in San Juan for the same price and it was far more upscale than this one.

Customer Service
By ,
Customer Service via telephone was somewhat rude. When soliciting a copy of the invoice the attendant demonstrated some rudeness and saying it was a bill from last week therefore we don't have it available. It's just the way she spoke made me feel uncomfortable. Definitely Boquemar needs to better train their personnel for customer service and just simple politeness.

Parador Boquemar Bad Place to stay
By ,
We stayed two night at the hotel. We were on the third floor on a ocean view room. The problem was that in order to view the ocean we needed to open the old style aluminum windows and let the warm air flow into the room. Also, we were on the third floor and the building has no elevator. The room had ants and the toilet was broken "running water constantly". I was surprise that the food from their restaurant was the best in the area. I would never stay in this parador again but I would definitely go back to their restaurant.

Poor rooms
By ,
I was there for one night ... just to sleep, and I don't want to repeat the experience. It wasn't bad just uncomfortable. The room was little and ugly. I think the price is expensive for what they offer.
