I love the view, the room was so beautiful it met my expectations ,the staff is sooooo nice. one thing i had dislike was when the maid or room keeper open the door without even knocking and did not have a bit of manners to say sorry..the food in the 24/7 restaurant is so expensive n so small portions as if they serving children.but i guess its what they are use too .they just need to upgrade the amount for the priced paid n all will be well.the buffet breakfast is off the chains u get your money n belly worth love the meal.n i lovce my room. i will be back every year when i am on vacation.if only to see the friendly staff n eat the scrumptous breakfast.will be telling all my peeps to support the pegasus while in jamaica.love it n miss it

I had my shortcomings about staying at the Pegasus as I am a Hilton fan but my thoughts changed as I entered the door. The staff was on point to greet me as the bellman was there to assist me out of the cab and take my luggage. This was followed by a warm welcomeat the reception desk. The rooms could use some improvement but hey have that under control a sthey are in the process of renovating from the top floor down. I had an opportunity to view one the new All Suite Royal Club Rooms and I can't wait until my next business trip to stay in that room. It is comfortable yet practical. If you have any chance to visit Kingston-the Pegasus is the place to be

On our most recent trip to Jamaica my wife and I spend 4 nights at the Pegasus and 2 nights at the Courtleigh which is located directly next door. We also visited the Hilton, just to be informed. OK here you have it.... The Courtleigh is smaller hotel and overall the rooms are bit more modern and feels cleaner. The pool however is not very inviting, also a hot breakfast is not including with the room charge, you are offered a continental buffet (not very good) just include coffe and tea and very limited pastries... Also there are no authentic Jamaican foods on the dinner menu. This hotel is a good, clean and safe choice if amenities are not your concern. The Pegasus is a bit faster pace. The room charge usually includes a hot breakfast unless you bargin for a lower rate which excludes breakfast (get the breakfast). The feel of the room is that of a motel in the States. We stayed on the 8th floor overlooking the pool and park, the view was beautiful. The staff is not overly friendly but not rude. The breakfast buffet was average and offers a mix of Jamaican and American dishes. During our stay the phone in the room was not working properly (calls to the room went directly to voice mail without ringing). It took a few complaints for this to be taken seriously, however upon learning about our inconvience the Hotel manager (Mr. Love) seems genuinely concern about this. He was friendly and resolved it with us feeling satisfy. This hotel has a large lobby with plenty of comfort to sit and relax; there are a couple of shops to browse around. The pool is very nice and the better of both the Courtleigh and the Hilton. These hotels are located next to each other in the safest part of Kingston, so the issue of safety is about the same for all. The elevators require an active room key to work so the bedroom floors are only accessible to guest. I cannot offer much on the Hilton, (I only did a quick tour). The only thing I can say is that the rooms by the pool and courtyard are not very good, they are not renovated and is shows... those in the tower may be better (not much). The grounds of the Hilton gives the most resort feel..poolside bar, tropical trees, and large grounds... After experiencing both these hotels and visiting the Hilton, my choice of stay for a next visit would be The Pegasus. We were a bit reluctant originally based on the reivews but it proved to be a good choice.... There are plenty of places to eat... There are two supermarkets within in walking distance... Word to the wise if you need a taxi walk out the gates of the hotel and find a chartered taxi.. the taxi at the hotesl charged 1,000 to drive about 10 miles.. when we went outside the hotel and found a taxi the same trip only cost us $300.00... Overall Jamaica is awesome... and we enjoyed our stay at both the Courtleigh and the Pegasus... Good Luck!

i live in Jamaica at the hotel and i can promise you this, that the Pegasus hotel is one of the best hotels you will ever come across!!!!!

The rooms and pool area require renovation as they are rather outdated but are relatively comfortable. The hotel is in a very good location especially for those who want to enjoy the night life. Also taxis are readily available from the hotel. Restaurant service is really slow and it is better to order room service if you are very hungry. Staff are reasonably friendly but could do better. The Pegasus is affordable, not noisy like some other hotels and remains my preferred hotel in Kingston.

The rooms were suitable and the service friendly. The gym was sufficient but they coated the treadmill with Armour All plastic cleaner which is slippery which shows how some staff lack experience and common sense. The street noice and the music from the pavalion was exceedingly frustrating so request a room facing away from the ocean if you like it quiet. The view from the ocean side was outstanding and if the noise doesn't bother you that would be the best choice. The hotel needs to convince the police to keep the weed pushers and the prostitutes away from the hotels. They are annoying and I am considering staying elsewhere as that was the only place I was hassled!

I believe this hotel was stunning the best in Jamacia. We spent a week at this hotel and loved every minute of it. The views were very nice you could see most of Kingston. The sevice was second to none and the room was nice with plenty of room and a comfy bed!

Great location for business travelers to Kingston. Everything you need is here. Good food, helpful staff. Grounds are well kept. I've stayed at Courtleigh and Hilton and prefer the Pegasus.

Imust say that my stay at the Pegasus Hotel was great. The staff are very friendly and always willing to assist with any problems that I had. The only problem was that the room was a bit outdated. The decor needs to be updated. Overall it was a great experience and I would tell anyone who wants to go to Kingston to stay at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel. They will experience true Jamaican Hospitality.
