We drove all over this island!

Our stay at Morritts was very enjoyable. This was our first time going, and it was a great experience. If you like to get a lot of exercise, you will love this place. Morritts doesn't have elevators, and it is three stories. Morritts is FAR away from all the main activities. We put over 600 miles on a rental car going mostly to the South Beach side where everything is going on and all the snorkling.
We loved Rum Point, Eden Rock, Smith's Barracade, Over the Edge restaurant (A MUST), Blow Hole on the east side, South Coast bar, Calico Jack's beach bar, and Kaibo was a very romantic place to eat. Stingray City was a great place to snorkle and pet the stingrays. The boat ride was very relaxing with music and punch!
Coconut Joe's and Aqua Beach were great places to go to eat outside with good atmosphere and music. We ate at Jimmy Buffet's Margarittaville, and it wasn't that good. The hamburger didn't taste that good. The best Conch fritters are located going towards the east side of the island at South Coast bar and resturant. Over the Edge Resturant going towards the east side is a great place to eat if you want to taste the island flavor, and it is a relaxing place.
Be ready to pay for your electricity after staying here; however, the maid service is great here. We only had one situation where one of the desk clerks wasn't that nice to us, but everyone was always very friendly at Morritts. The condo was clean and very comfortable even with the sliding doors open with the ocean breeze.
On the dock at Mimi's resturant, we enjoyed all the activities that were scheduled. We also enjoyed seeing all the fish that stayed around the dock looking for food whenever someone dropped food over the dock. We enjoyed walking and exercising, so being able to walk was a must. We could use the gym or walk around Morritts and The Reef Condo! Morritts is a secluded place, but it offers a wide variety of activities to keep you busy. The only nearby store is the IGA, so if you want to get groceries or items, you need to get it in town before you go back to the condo. The IGA close to the Morritts is very small, and it doesn't have all the other items like the bigger stores in town (Georgetown and north on south beach).
My husband and I would like to visit again. This is a beautiful place!
