Americas Best Value Inn - Posada El Rey Sol, Ensenada Centro

The hotel was always changing the agreed upon price. Would call manager Israel to make reservation. We would agree to a price. When it came for me to check out If Israel was not around I was always given a higher price. This happened several times talked to owners daughter about my problem. She gave me feeling she didn't really care. Will stay at differant hotel next time I go. Agree with other reviewer that things are falling apart at hotel i.e. shower doors always falling off etc.

We stayed two nights at the Posada Del Rey Sol (Best Value Inn) and like it. The location was convenient, there was secure parking, and the room was nice. My only complaint is that there could have been more lighting in the room, and there could have been more availability of cable channels. Breakfast is included in the price (50 peso credit) at either the cafe on premises or the El Rey Sol Restaurant across the street. Plus they have a happy hour from 7 - 8 with free margaritas at the bar.

I didn't actually stay at this hotel but I would like to share a story with those who are planning to stay here. Be aware. These people are thieves! I made a reservation for this hotel about 2 months ago but when my visit to Mexico was cut short, I cancelled my reservation within the deadlines of their cancellation policy. The hotel charged my credit card for a "no show fee" (basically one night's stay) anyway. I have been trying for more than 2 months to get my money back. The hotel manager, Mr. I. Rodriguez, said this was an error on their part and first promised they would reverse the charges on my credit card. Two weeks later, this still didn't happen. When asked, he said that their system was "not able to reverse charges." So why wasn't I called about this? He then promised to send me a money order for the charge. Four weeks later, still no money! At this point, I have resorted to filing formal charges with both the Mexican government and the VISA company against this hotel. My advice to you, if you want to avoid the hassles that I went through, just find a more honest hotel to stay at.

if you are going to spend time in the city, and go out to Bars, and clubs, etc. then this is a good place to stay. It is clean, nice, and walking distance to all the bars, restaurants and shopping. The hotel bartender makes a great margarita!!!

There service is very terrible. Everything is breaking in the rooms. There pool and spa are dicusting. The people that work there give you alot of attitude instead of trying to help you out.
