Gorgeous view of the courtyard with pool and palms
The staff spoke decent English and was responsive to my needs (even before I tipped them), they always asked whether I wanted anything for the room. The room was quite clean and did not smell. The matrass was somewhat rigid, but not uncomfortable. Airconditioning unit (similar to US hotels, sitting on the floor) was fairly new and worked well. The view of the courtyard with the pool and palm trees was gorgeous. The restaurant on the premices gets you a delicious meal for $10-12 (they even open the door for you). The front desk will call taxis for you and tell you where to go and what to see (ask for map). There is a business center with internet access ($4-5/ 30 min). There is a gym, fairly equipped. A bar with a large screen TV. Ice machine works well. You can walk half a block to the gas station ("OXXO") to get soda/water/beer/chips, there is a larger grocery store two blocks away. The hotel is located in a nicer part of town. Be polite and don't be whimsical and you'll have a great experience. The only problem was, I had to run like four-five times to the front desk, because my keycard kept not working throughout my two-day stay; and also even though I put a Do Not Disturb sign, when I returned, there was a lady cleaning my room; she had my stuff moved neatly aside and she apologized though and asked me if I wanted her to leave, I said, nah (she mopped the floor and vacuumed too). :-)
