Not a five star hotel

Since the hotel is located high above the city on a hill between two major highways, you listen to the trucks brakes all the time! Including through the whole night!! The staff was very attentive to our particular problems however, this is not and should not still be listed as a 5 star resort. In its time it was probably a beautiful resort. It is worn out, old and without some room restorations and hotel amenities added, it should list as a 3 star hotel in our opinion. Because of the noise, I would not recommend this hotel. The view is wonderful if it is a clear day in Guadalajara. The taxi rides cost a bit to travel into Tlapuepaque, Tonala and Historic Guadalajara because of its location however, the shuttle was always available to us when we needed and the only cost was tipping the driver.
