Nightmare

From the beginning this hotel had been a disaster. Responses to my e-mail questions were slow and unhelpful. When we arrived to Gerrard Street, we were greeted by 1000 people protesting the hotel yelling, "Delta Chelsea, you're no good, treat your workers like you should!" After about 1/2 hour when we could finally get into the hotel, we addressed this concern to the man at the front desk. He pretended he didn't know what was going on outside. Clearly we were concerned we would not be able to come and go, but no explanation was offered. Then, when we got to our room, neither of the key cards worked, sending us back down 17 floors on congested elevators. Later that night we asked for directions from the concierge desk, who gave us very convincing detailed verbal directions - but the store didn't actually exist in that location. When we came back to the concierge desk he was insistant that we just couldn't find the store and was very sarcastic. Checking in the phone book later that night, we found he sent us in the opposite direction up Yonge street (he used specific landmarks in the wrong direction).
I didn't feel that the staff was very welcoming and would not return to this hotel if they offered me a free night's stay.
VERY DISAPPOINTING
