BEST WESTERN PLUS Cairn Croft Hotel, Niagara Falls

We have visited this hotel several times in the past few years. We always have an enjoyable time. The service is very good at both the front desk and the hotel restaurant. The rooms are clean and well stocked. Each room has a refrigerator and coffee maker, hair dryer and television. The courtyard rooms have an entrance facing the courtyard area (pool and kids playground, arcade, bar area, hot tub..) and an exit to the parking lot at the back of the room. If you stay on the right side of the courtyard, you can use the back exit to get to your car directly but if you have a room on the left, it is only to be used as an emergency exit. When we have visited, the breakfast has been free and filling. Bacon, eggs, toast, tea or coffee. A great selection for the kids too. The pool is clean and open until 10 p.m. Take note, however, that you can hear noise from the courtyard in the courtyard rooms. If you have children, like us, this probably won't bother you but I wouldn't recommend this part of the hotel for honeymooners or those requiring a quiet experience. The falls and clifton hill area are a good thirty minute walk and about a 5 minute drive. Parking on top of the hill is between $5-10.00. There is a NoFrills supermarket right next to the hotel and a McDonalds and a Red Lobster. Just down the road is a brand name outlet mall. The parking lot is free to park and is monitored by security cameras. The only negatives I will mention: the change machine hasn't worked during our visits, so bring your own bag of change so your kids won't be disappointed. Stay away from one of the five courtyard doors as you can hear the other guests coming and going when the door closes heavily. Overall, great value and your kids will love this hotel.
