will never go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/9/11
The place is fallin apart and needs to be torn down. I was thrown in a room that needed 10 minutes of walking fro the lobby and the room ws not very clean, and wireless internet is very slow. The front desk staff were very friendly though.

Will never stay here again....EVER
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/30/10
First, the positive. The staff at the reception desk did their best to be helpful, and were happy to hand out coffee cups and coffee packets (that house-keeping had omitted to do on several occassions during my two weeks here - thank goodness my company was footing the bill). They were even able to re-book me in a room with a fridge when I asked. Now, the not so good stuff. Housekeeping was poor. As already mentioned, lack of coffee and coffee cups. I don't think my room was vacuumed more than once during my stay. The hot water supply must have been rationed, as it was always cold within 3 minutes in the shower. And I've saved the worst until last.......THE FIRE ALARMS. Three (3) false alarms in one day (3am, 8am & 8pm) - plus another 3am one a week earlier. I don't know why the bells thought it was Christmas, but I was told by one staff member that they were having "problems" with the alarm system, and I overheard some other staff talking about this being a regular occurance. However, at no time did anyone from the hotel advise me or my associate (staying in another room) the reason for the alarm (eg. "sorry sir, but it was a false alarm"), or apolofise for making me stand outside in the cold in my pj's because the alarm system has been set in random mode! I will be advising my company not to use this facility again - the Best Western is straight over the road, and the Valhalla is only a minute away.

It use to be a class place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/13/09
When Mr. French one of the original owners passed away and family sold it to the Travelodge Chain it went and continues to go down hill. This was once a grand experience in both dining and staying. One of the first places in this region to hire great experienced Chefs from Switzerland and Germany. Mr. Lenz(R.I.P.) ran the dining room like something you would expect in the Ritz-Carlton...10 stars out of 5 because he did everything above and beyond expectations. Sadly now they resort to using paper napkins, sometimes not even a tablecloth. I was there for our traditional New Years Day Brunch which has gone from elegance to looking more like 'fast food' run by a bunch of 'kids'. This coming New Years my family and I will be changing our tradition of going to 'their' brunch to somewhere that still understands what it is like to be treated to something with flare, class, and eloquant gourmet!

No so great!!
By johnnie, 6/21/09
Sorry to say but my experience was terrible. The place was very rundown and at breakfast the service was terrible. Burnt toast was set before me with no apology and never did get the Tabasco sauce I asked for!! Moved to the better Valhalla the next day.

5 stars to the boys at Airlane
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/13/05
Many thanks to the staff at Travelodge Airlane. From mid-night teas and biscotti to 6:00 pretzel's and hot toddie's. Special thanks to our boys behind the desk. You guys made us feel right at home. So to Matt, Andrew, Jimmy and our little Danny you guys get 5 stars for having us arrive as guests and leave as friends. Thanks, Lisa and Christine "The girls with a million questions."
