Barebones Motel with old small rooms

If you are going to Victoria, it makes no sense to stay in an old, cramped hotel room like this. The online price was higher than if you just show up there and book a room. And there are half a dozen just like it nearby to choose from if you are really on a tight budget. This hotel is not in downtown Victoria, you have a hard couple of miles to walk so don't be fooled by the address on Douglas Street. Online ratings of this place describe it as a three-star hotel. It's a one or two star at best - a one and a half for sure. They do have free parking and a single Internet connection to use in the lobby. It's just too distant from where you'd want to go in Victoria and the pool slide is just not enough to keep your kids entertained -- especially in such tiny rooms. In Canada, you may notice how polite everyone is. The first rude Canadian I ever met was a male front desk clerk at this hotel.
