Average hotel in downtown Calgary

The Ramada Downtown is the definition of an average hotel. Some positive aspect include the very good location in the centre of the city, and good, friendly service. On the negative side, the bathroom had a broken fan and the room in general was not maintained as well as I would expect, although it was still clean. Also, the hotel restaurant is overpriced. The next time I'm in Calgary, I'll probably try somewhere else, but as a stopover for a short business trip it does the job. For a longer stay, I would definitely go elsewhere.

Never Again

Well where do I start! I rented the executive suite on the 8th floor. There were burn marks on both night tables, the bathroom has cracks and warps throughout, the TV was only 20", and the biggest thing was the noise pollution. You could hear eveything that goes on, even at nine stories up. Every single drunk and car leaving added to the headache. The hotel is also stratigically placed a few blocks from the Rail station and C-train stations. The food was good, but overpriced. I spent $2.50 for a english muffin to go with my breakfast. I thought bread was cheap and usually goes with breakfast...call me crazy! I could have spend $60 and still had better results. Thank you Ramada for narrowing down my accomadations.
