Stayed for four nights sept 2005. Saff was cordial but did not make you feel welcome. Pricey for the limited amenities. Housekeeping was poor. Requested that the sheets be changed and they were not. Went to the front desk and got new sheets and changed them. Wrote a letter to the ownwer and have not received a reply. I would not stay there again.

Labor Day Weekend
By ,
The hotels website over-hypes what you actually see when you arrive. The rooms were VERY SMALL and the lobby was uninviting. We booked for 4 nights and they stuck us in the front of the hotel right where the cars pulled into the driveway. Absolutely no privacy. On our first morning there was no hot water and they told us to "go upstairs to the spa and take a shower". Needless to say we didn't pay for a hostel. We stayed the following two nights for the same price at the Chateau Fairmont which completely outclassed the Rundlestone on all fronts. We would not recommend or return to this hotel. Staff was not friendly and seemed bothered that we were there. No good morning, no welcome, they wouldn't even look up from reading their papers.

Loved the Room!
By ,
My boyfriend and I Spent one night in Banff for a romantic getaway and we did alot of research about what kind of room we wanted and decided on the Rundlestone Lodge. We chose the king loft, which included a LARGE 2 person Jacuzzi tub, kitchenette and cozy fireplace. The room was spotless and very cozy. Our stay was romantic and the only real complaint we had was that a continental breakfast was not included with the rental of the room(which was $165+taxes per night) so we ended up paying $9 for a continental breakfast. The breakfast wasnt a huge complaint at all, just something that we thought would have/should have been included in the price.

Will stay here again!
By ,
My Fiancee and I stayed at this hotel for a couple nights when we went to banff in Nov of 2007. We did lots of research on the internet before we decided to stay there, and we weren't disappointed. We chose just a standard room with a king sized bed and a balcony, and needless to say, it was good value for the money. We found the room very spacious, and the underground parking was lovely for that time of year. The couple that we went with required a room with a fridge, and the staff was able to accomodate this (as well as they found two rooms that were close together.) The staff was very nice to us, and went out of their way to help us find good hiking trails in the area. The womens locker room was very clean and the pool looked well kept as did the hot tub. Overall, a very nice stay.

a must stay
By ,
this hotel is changed to a new owner in June 2006. The new owner really works hard to make it a must-stay place. It is about 1 mile to downtown Banff, which is actually a good thing that it is very quiet yet convenient if you want to have a walk or shopping in the town. The loft style room is pretty cool with nice view balcony and even a in-door fireplace. The facilities are also good. The whole building is air-conditioned. They also provide free wireless internet.

Extremely Disappointed
By ,
There seemed to be alot of 'hype' placed on their website with regards to the Rundlestone. When we arrived, the front desk clerk seemed 'bothered' by our presence and did not go into specifics about the hotel or it's amenities. Upon check out the following day, we had decided to stay one extra night and they simply told us it was not possible, and with it being the long weekend we'd be more than un-likely to even find 'any' hotel in Banff with an accomodation. There didn't seem to be any empathy at all towards us. The funniest part was....we checked out, went next door to the Spruce Grove, and were able to check in with no problems. The Rundlestone likes to 'boost' themselves, however need alot of work with their Customer Service skills and housekeeping. Also, there parking facilities are kept underground but what a hassle to come out of! Truly disappointed! Stay nextdoors!
