Days Inn Rock Springs, Rock Springs

We booked this motel for 2 nights to go house hunting in R.S./G.R.... All I can say is that I can't believe that Days Inn allows these people to keep their franchise. The room we got (for fairly cheap...easy to see why...) was so run down, the floor sagged and creaked, carpets needed replaced - not very clean really. It seemed like a room that was normally rented to local workforce - the laborers next door were up till 4 a.m. partying. The shower was ice cold - and I felt I would fall through the plastic bathtub. Also, the door was not very plumb with the frame - did not feel secure in room at all. Definitely would NOT recommend to ANYONE.

hard beds, poor breakfast, poor customer service, showers were scalding hot then luke warm to cool, everything was in disrepair in the room, lamps inoperable, all around poor experience, awoke to staff pounding away at ice very loudly after a poor nights sleep due to hard bed

Great counter-staff, quick &b easy check-in, room was very clean. We got handicapped smoking room w/huge bathroom. Comfy beds, room heated up quickly/quietly (very cold outside!). Toured thru town first - great Victorian stone buildings, pretty depot. Love the town, can't wait to see Flaming Gorge. Would stay here again as all lodging in area's pretty expensive and I appreciate the quiet.

We checked in and didn't even stay an hour! The temp outside was 92, and we couldn't set the room's a/c below 78. If we tried, it just shut off completely. The room was a bit warm for us. Our room rate was $90 plus taxes. We thought this was overpriced for a hot room. We checked out and went elsewhere. We saw one other family doing the same.

The front desk was slow & indifferent while checking people in. The accomodations were very old and dirty. The bathroom was tiny and the fixtures were as old as I've ever seen in a hotel. The bath was too small to close the door without standing and the sink was outside the bathroom. There was soda pop or some other stuff stuck to the walls in various places. The night stands were dirty and I wouldn't step on the carpet without shoes on. We tried to get a different room but they wouldn't move us because apparently it was booked up. It was abnormally chilly for the season when we arrived and we had to find the manager to turn on the heat since it was controlled centrally and not in the room. This Days Inn is in a run down part of town, and it fits right in. You'd be better off checking out the newer hotels to the west in a better part of town. The only shining light here is that the free continental breakfast was surprisingly very good and located in a newer building across the parking lot. What a contrast from the rooms. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one.

i came into this motel at about 1:30 am and found the desk clerk asleep, i rang the bell on the counter and he didn't even stir. i could have robbed the place if i wanted to. anyhow i made some more noise and he finally woke and gave me the rudest attitude. i paid and left to find my room. once there i found that the key did not open the door. i tried it several times. i went back and found the guy asleep again. i woke him and got the same rude attitude. so with a new key i went and got my room. i fell asleep to the sound of a couples loud love making next door. "thin walls" i was then woke at 6:45 by housekeeping. i told the lady to come back later. she didn't understand english. she was back at 8:30 and came in after i yelled "go away" when she knocked. i went to complain before leaving but the same rude man was at the counter so i just figured i'll never go back.
