BEST FAMILY VACATION E-V-E-R
By CaliLuv2Travel, 7/15/08
Liked everything!! For starters, every worker and wrangler was so unbelievably kind, friendly, and helpful. The helpers in the food service area were happy and attentive, and by day 2, they were automatically bringing a pitcher of tap water (we’re from Southern California and our tap water is less than stellar) because they remembered from the first day. Cabins were adorable and spacious, the lodge was cute and homey-feeling, and the views were phenomenal. The horses were always tacked and ready to go, and every wrangler was fun, extraordinarily nice, talented, and knowledgeable, and led us on many, many different (and scenic) trails. Most if not every trail has some amazing view of the Teton Mountains. So many activities are included in the price: Paint ball, tomahawk throwing, archery, roping, fly fishing, 1 or 2 hour trail rides twice a day, an all-day ride, a ½ day ride, a sunset cookout and ride, the rodeo, the “in-ranch” rodeo, a float down the Snake River, a tour of Yellowstone – it was all so amazing. Perfect for everyone, even if you don't like to do a lot of activities because there is no pressure to "do it all" - you can try everything, nothing, or just some of the things. The guitar player and singer the evening of the cookout was fun, entertaining, and downright great and the western band that played on the last night was, as well. Perhaps the most important and relaxing thing about our stay at The Heart Six, was that it felt like an old-fashioned family vacation – you know, the kind where the family hung together (and sometimes didn’t), but it was safe and fun. Our one week at the ranch honestly provided me one week of having no concern whatsoever of the security of our kids (even when I had no idea where they were off playing). I absolutely without question knew that they were safe from danger and strangers, so I was able to relax and enjoy every moment of every day. Disliked: absolutely nothing, and reading some of the negative comments from 2007 are disappointing and honestly not believable. I don't know what horses they were talking about, but every single horse looked healthy and clearly were very well taken care of. And, I thought everyone was incredibly nice and helpful, including Karen and Jesse (and even our kids didn't find them hard to talk to).

best place ever!
By Henry, 7/6/08
Staff very nice and is willing to do what you want. I have been to 3 other dude ranches with my family and this is by far the best and the only one that I have came back to. Rides are great and programs for kids and adults and teens all are really good. By far a ranch you want to come to!

Best Vacation Ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/21/08
Ive stayed at a number of dude ranches in Wyoming but none can compare to the Heart Six. The rooms the managers the activities were great. My children had activities to keep them entertained all week. It's like like one big family. We will be back. Thanks, Richard

Cheap
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/19/07
This vacation was a waste of money. I heard the managers speaking badly 4 different times about the staff and 2 times badly about the other guests. The location is pretty but it's easy to beat. The managers were hard to speak to and the woman, Karen, often had a mean tone when speaking. The ranch is cheap-looking and the horses look so skinny and sick. They do it all wrong. Spend your money elsewhere! -NY

Choose a different ranch
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/23/07
My family and I have been to a number of Dude Ranches in the west. Normally we enjoy them but Heart Six is not one of those. The managers were terribly hard to approach. The male manager, Jessie, and the female manager, Karen, seemed arrogant and unkind. My teenaged children felt like they were not wanted by the managers. If we choose to visit another ranch, it will not be this one. It was not a nice place - it was badly kept up and there was construction everywhere. I often heard the female manager speaking down to the workers which seemed thoughtless.

Best Vacation of my life
By Patrick Getz, 6/30/07
Best vacation of my life. The folks at Heart 6, under the Management of Jesse and Karen Rodenbough are amazing. they accommodated every request. Their staff was great with our children. The riding was terrific, different riding 'opportunities' for all ages. Excellent horses, excellent wrangler and fishing guides. Lots of activities. A person could be as active or inactive as they choose. It was Jesse, Karen and their staff's objectives goal to make sure everyone had a great time. Great place for a terrific couples or family vacation!!!

Best vacation of all
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/1/07
I have taken my family on vacations all over the world, but none of them were as enjoyable as this one. There were activites for my children and my wife and world class fly fishing for me. The managers Karen and Jesse took care of our every need. And like I said I can bring my family on vacation any where, but we cant wait to go back to the Heart Six.

NOT WHAT WE WERE SOLD!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/29/06
We liked the location. That was about it. The room was not clean. They were very rude when we asked for a "special" meal. It was our honeymoon. When we talked to the managers "Jesse" was very helpful, until he talked to his wife Karen. She was VERY unaccomidating. I will NEVER recomend them.

Home on the Range
By Mary, 7/2/06
I stayed at Heart Six the third week of June. The cabin was beautiful with views in three directions. I had my own horse for the entire week. I had riding instruction and one on one rides until I felt comfortable on my horse. Everything was included: Jackson rodeo, daytrip to Yellowstone with guide, Friday night dance, cook outs, float trips, meals. The management and staff went out of their way to be friendly and ensure I was having fun. The location is far enough away from Jackson that you feel you are remote and close enough the ranch will drive you infor a shopping trip! The float trips are on the Snake River and about a ten minute ride into Grand Teton National Park. It is located on the edge of the Bridger National Forest, so it is beautiful and it was beyond wonderful.
