DON'T STAY HERE!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/12/09
Toilet was not flushed or cleaned when we got there. Towels were damp. Did they just fold the dirty ones? We stocked our refrigerator and the food was taken from us

Terrible Hotel
By dave d, 02/10/09
Stayed to save my company some money. No excuse for place smelling like a gian ashtray. When you step into the lobby the stink just hits you in the face and burns your eyes and nose. Rooms are outdated and dingy and in bad need of a remodel. Will not stay here again. Of course, my expectations may have been too high considering I was in Wyoming.

It might be comming back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/27/08
I have stayed in the Towers since 1980. I have wached it go from a great motel to less than a good motel. Last year I and my employees spent 9 months here and were not impressed, and had planned on moving to another motel. The cost per night stay varied from week to week, from reasonable to outrageous and if you said something about it, they couldn't care less, money talked. I am married to a motel manager in Denver, who thinks the guest is the most important asset, as the Gillette attude in general does not understand this. When I checked in two weeks ago I met a gentleman at the front desk, named Ryan, he seemed interested in the pleasant stay of the guest was important to him . When I got to my room, I found the motel had done a lot of work in the rooms to improve my stay. I think this a good start, and I have faith they will continue to bring this motel back to what it used to be, If not, I will leave and take my people with with me. I an willing to give the motel a second chance. The Attitude of the employees to the customer is most important. I feel I and my employees are doing them a favor by staying here, as apposed to their former idea of if you don't like it, piss on you, there are other motels. WE WILL FIND THOSE MOTELS, but I would rather not. We will see how the Best Western Tower West Lodge Handles It .

Downhill all the way
By Darcy C, 11/27/07
This used to be a great place to stay...clean friendly people..but now, beware! The rudest most inept help and the room was filthy, broken furniture, sinks, carpets a mess. Plus you have a train constantly making noise right out your window. starting at 4 am everyday. Never again.

Got a Special Fine
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/06/07
I wsa haranged by the desk people for alledgedly failing to tell them in advance about our dog. Despite having been lodged in a room reserved for folks with dogs, the facts did not matter to these people. To top it off even better, they charged us $100 "fine" for not telling them (which we did) and then loudly objected to my pointing out a large engraved brass sign on the front desk that outlined this ridiculous policy and which, in fact, said the fine was $50!! One of the strangest travel experiences I've ever had. Is it possible to award "no stars?"

Would not recommend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/19/07
Our experience with BW was very negative. The management staff is very rude to the point of name calling and treatening comments. The management staff cancelled a reception room the eve before the event, leaving us no where to host about 40 people. In addition, we were charged a large cleaning fee for a room we did not occupy--we were not even in Wy. at the time and the staff knew it but charged our credit card anyway. Had to pay it. There were other things wrong but suffice it to say--buyer beware. Will never stay in a BW again.

Management Staff is extremely rude!!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/18/07
for 98.00 a night you expect a clean room not one with stains on the carpet and when you call and try to discuss any difficulties that you may be having w/Aftab or Nicole (management staff) you are told you are being difficult and hung up on - I can also relate to the other reviewer that was unable to get any satisfaction for a wrongful charge - in our case the hotel lost a minimum of 1400.00 in business because our crew was treated so badly not to mention the fact that our business has almost exclusively used BW and now we are considering a different option - our crews are in a hotel room about 260 days a year - it's really sad that BW thinks they are to big to worry about a few unhappy customers

Great Place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/12/07
I am setting up some reservations for family. I live in Gillette, and will have my reception at Towers West Lodge. I have lots of positive past experince from the company. They have hosted many business meetings, weddings, and such that I have attended. Now I do want to explain to people who are complaining of the price. If you are not aware, Gillette is going through another energy boom. So housing is very scarce. So many motels are able to charge through the roof prices. Because people will pay it. Hope this helps you out.

Positive review
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/30/06
Our room at the Best WEstern Tower West Lodge was basically positive. Our room were clean and neat. There was a coffee maker in the room but no clock radio or clock. Good thing we had our own travel clock with us. A digital clock was available, on the holder of the blower dryer which was in the bathroom. This is wierd...people want a clock where they can see it easily, not in the bathroom. I would agree with the person who posted who indicated that for a room rental of over $100 (ours was $112) that they should have a continental breakfast but there is a restaurant attached to the hotel which is probably why the continental breakfast is not offered. My husband was appalled by the fact that a cup of coffee was $2.50. We did not eat supper at the restaurant but we found the breakfast prices to be rather high-$8 was about the cheapest you could purchase any breakfast meal with the exception of cold cereal or in my case, I ordered the fresh fruit and received half a cantelope for about $5. Also the restaurant service was rather slow. We waited, several minutes before a hostess came to seat us. Then when it came time to pay the bill, the hostess was not immediately available to take our money. I think they need to have more people on duty at 7 am because a lot of travelers like to be up and on their way in a timely fashion. On the positive side, the hotel was next door to a service station which had the cheapest gas we'd seen all during our trip: $2.75 a gallon. Over all, I would recommend this hotel.

Excellent Hotel!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/06
Very nice amenities and very clean rooms. I was impressed with this facility and I would highly recommend this hotel to all guests. I was especially impressed by the cleanliness and I have stayed at many other hotels in Gillette and none of them compare.
