Ross Teal Lake Lodge, Hayward

In reading the description of Ross's Teal Lake Lodge one would believe it was a beautiful family resort. Unfortunately, that is not the case. The cabins are extremely dated; there is no beach except for a floating dock that needs a lot of work and the food, per the description in the write-up, lacks flavor, and imagination. Plus, the meals are very expensive! We were all extremely disappointed and will not return. The cabins were dirty; the room service was nonexistent (we had to ask for toilet paper, paper towels, etc.. We have traveled to many different resorts and this one was probably the worst (resort??) for us.

In these days of large resort condos and fancy crowded developments, my wife and I found Teal Lake Lodge a nice return to simpler times. It was so nice to spend time in a quiet & uncrowded resort and stay in clean & basic rustic waterfront cabin. And the golf course is exceptional !!!!

Ross's Teal Lake resort is a relaxing wonderful secluded vacation spot. I was there for 4 days for relaxation and fishing. Dinners were outstanding and the service top-notch.

We loved the setting, the cabins were clean and comfortable. The Lodge is a quintessential old resort lodge with a fantastic dining room, and delicious food. No need to leave. We thought it was like going to a ski resort for golf instead. Very FUN!

My husband and I love this resort. We have stayed with various friends and family member on many different occasions and it never fails to impress. The site is beautifull. We love the food and the golf course as well as the feeling of really getting away from it all. Our favorite part is the evening campfires with fellow guests as well as staff and management. We are never bored when we visit, but we always leave feeling relaxed.Can't wait to go back!

I love going to Teal Lake every year. My first visit to Teal Lake was when I was four. I am now thirty three and the resort is just as charming and alluring as it was when I was a child. To say that the resort needs to be updated as was stated in the 1 star review is uncalled for. The charm of this resort is the fact that it is like stepping back in time. Obviously they did not read the motto of the resort before the booked their stay.

Our family stayed here for 2 nights and we thought the resort needs major updating. Our cabin smelled moldy, and we didn't feel it was clean. The manager/owner was unfriendly. And the prices were much higher than other places where we've stayed. I would not return.
