Days Inn of Appleton, Appleton

All I was looking for was a clean room to crash in. People at desk were nice and they let me extend my check out time without any hassle. Will stay again.

I heard the place was recently renovated and nothing could be further from the truth. The place was out-dated, and very unclean. Blood was on the side of the tub which I washed off myself and proceeded to take a shower. I noticed grey tape which was pulling up on the tub floor. I crawled into my sheets and went to sleep only to find myself itching all night. I threw the blanket on the floor thinking it was a wool blanket. No, it was bed bugs! I saw one slowly try to move away from sucking my blood all night, but I killed it. I looked it up online to be sure of the identity of the bug and indeed it was a bed bug. I complained at the front desk and they gave me a different room for the remainder of my three days. I did not have bed bugs that I am aware of, however the noise from upstairs kept me awake all night. I heard the people so well it felt like we shared a room. I also had a very strong smoke odor even though I paid for a non-smoking room. Needless to say I will never stay here again nor will I recommend staying here.
