Dalles House Motel, St Croix Falls

Loved the motel's warm and cozy atmosphere. The fire place in the lobby is just beatiful, real stone and warm wood tones. Rooms and hallways are very clean. Pool was wonderful, you could actually swim laps. Staff was friendly and eager to see all my needs were met. The cost was very reasonalble and breakfast was included. The best was the location, just across the road from the Interstate state park, gandy dancer bike trail and St Croix river. Can't wait to get back there!

We stayed here due to a local event in 2008 with our two kids. The pool was ok but kinda creepy when you are the only ones there. Everything was out dated. This is a place from the 70's. Dark wood paneling and smelled like smoke. We stayed out in the back lot complex not attached to pool or office and the smoke smell was not as bad. I remember the smoke seemed to just roll out the office area when i first walked in. Need to pick a place in Taylors falls again in 2009 but may stay someplace else. The cost seemd reasonable $60 night so thats whats bringing me back. Nice little dowtown area down the road by the dam for lunch and breakfast.
