The hotel is dirty, some vending machines and ice machines don't work and if you want to use wireless internet forget it.

Despite having a so-so experience at this hotel (only so-so because of the evening restaurant staff who were, in my opinion, terrible), I find myself booking again because of the best value (in my opinion) in this area. I am a military wife and a fellow military wife friend of mine and our two babies took a long road trip together, and this was our half-way point. Upon arrival, we were very exhausted from our long drive... and both we and the little ones were hungry. We decided to keep it simple and chose to eat at the in-hotel restaurant. We ordered chicken strips and a club sandwich... and it took FORTY-FIVE minutes for our food to arrive. By then, our babies were melting into full-on tantrums and our stomachs were eating themselves. If the restaurant had been packed, this might have been acceptable, but we were literally the only ones there. Another party of six came in about fifteen minutes after us, and all of them were served their far more elaborate meals long before we were. Absolutely ridiculous. There was no apology or compensation, just "our regular chef is on vacation..." an excuse I've heard a half dozen times in several different hotels when the restaurant service is sub-par. The free breakfast buffet in the morning, however, was excellent. And best of all... NO WAITING! :) We were able to get a good hot meal quickly before hitting the road for day two. The room itself was clean, and our requested cribs had been placed in our room as requested. If you are using hotel cribs, I would suggest bringing your own blanket for your child as the hotel's baby blankets are quite worn. They are actually portacribs (NOT pack-n-plays like in some other hotels), so if you have a larger toddler, be aware that he or she may end up in bed with you instead (mine did). Overall, the experience was positive enough for me to book here again, although, I admit, the only real draw for choosing this over another hotel is the free breakfast buffet. On the military discount, it is a good overall value. If, however, you don't mind paying for breakfast, you may be happier at another hotel.

This Quality Inn was more than we had hoped for during the weekend of 3-15-08. The room was clean and very comfortable. The front desk clerk made quick her promise to send us a roll-away bed for an added traveler to our party. The hotel is situated in an area surrounded by nice restaurants and they are easily walkable from its location. The biggest surprise was the nice dinner we had at Morgan's, the hotel's restaurant when Applebee's and the Roadhouse said we'd have to wait 40 minutes for a table. I don't think you'd find a finer hotel for less that $90 a night!

We were at the hotel in Feb 08. Room was clean, the bed-comfortable and overall stay was above average. Could hear some street noise. Breakfast was so-so. Will probably walk across the street next time and buy breakfast at IHOP. Overall stay for the money was enjoyable. Would stay here again.

This is a nice, clean well run place which is very convenient to the Interstate. It has a nice restaurant and lounge which was important as I did not want to have to go out. The free breakfast buffet was nice. The only criticism I have of that is that they did not have Danish. But it was fine nonetheless. Some reviews have said it was pricey, but on a weekday with AAA discount I paid less than $70. I thought it was worth it.

On-site restaurant has good food and service. Our room price included breakfast buffet with good selection of items and attentive service. Older hotel with some wear and tear. Staff was friendly.

I booked with the hotel using reviews from Expedia.com. For $81.00 a night plus tax I was expecting a nice room. What a got however was probably the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in, the bathroom was also so small that my wife and myself could not be in it at the same time. The key-card reader for my door was broken and usually took 40 to 50 swipes (no kidding) to open the door. The cable for half of the channels on the TV was out and per the nice lady at the front desk "jiggle the cable cord and see if that fixes it". I did jiggle it and oddly enought it fixed it enough to watch the channels but still fuzzy. Due to the unexpected poor quality of the room I asked if I could pay the difference and get a better/bigger room. I was not allowed to switch rooms because I had already paid for my room....don't ask, it was very confusing. The parking lot is very dark and the entrance in right near a traffic light so you always have to wait for traffic to clear to enter/leave the lot. The restaurant attached is horrible and is one of the few restaurants in the city that allows smoking, and trust me when I say the whole place stinks of smoke Overall I have stayed at 4 hotels in this city. The Howard Johnson was a very clean and nice hotel for the price. My favorite however was the County Inn & Suites, very clean and large rooms and great service.

The location was terrific. The free breakfast buffet was super. I had a room with a whirlpool, which was located next to the bed so you could sit in the whirlpool and watch TV. Also offered coffee maker, microwave, fridge, etc. Since I was there right before Christmas, I found the room actually too warm and had to turn it down. Having the "Morgan's" restaurant right in the hotel was why I booked this hotel. I didn't want to have to walk outside (or drive) in the cold, snow and ice to get something to eat. Ironically, when we were there they had pre-booked Christmas parties and only offered room service for the evening dinner meals. But, that's to be expected when it's "The Season to be Jolly" :) The only small complaint I have is that the ice machine was right outside my door and a little noisy. Overall, I had a great time and if in the area again, I'd stay there.
