Super 8 Port Angeles, Port Angeles

I paid cash for my room and deposit, and went in to a musty basement room. Pillows and bed were lumpy, and at that point I knew it just wasn't worth trying to save a buck. In the morning i had some breakfast, packed up the car, and pulled up to the office to get my deposit back. The girl at the front told me to hold on while she went and examined my room. She came back and told me the room smelled like smoke and she was keeping the deposit. No matter what I said, they were keeping my deposit and actually asked me to throw in another fifty bucks! They basically jacked me for my deposit and sent me off like the redheaded stepchild. My advice is to steer clear. Super 8 is Super Whack!

I booked a room here and called to cancel a few days before our stay and they refused to refund the money. When I told them their website said you just have to call 24 hours before your stay to cancel they said I did not qualify because they gave me a discount. When I explained I never requested a discount and booked it direct on their super 8 website and had a printed copy of their refund policy at this very hotel that said I could get a refund they acted like I didn't have it and refused to even look at it!!! I sent them a copy of it and was told it did not matter because they booked me on a special rate - I never asked for a special rate and booked it direct so there was not travel agency that they had already paid. This place from looking at the other reviews has a shady past and I should have read the reviews first. Don't waste your money on this place and dont expect a refund either if you cant make your stay. I even disputed this with my credit card company and thought since I had signed nothing and had a print out of the refund policy they would reverse the charge. Well discover card at first said I had to contact the merchant because I gave them my credit card and they could not do anything about it. This place has yet to refund my money! Its been months and I have wrote them many times. Check the BBB out they have a record on this place too! I wish I would have researched this place first. Port Angeles is a nice place, but this hotel was the worst experience I have ever had in traveling and at any hotel. They still have money money too! If they want to refund my money I will gladly update this review.

Must enter through restaurant parking lot. Poorly marked. Reserved two-non smoking rooms at $80+ per night. Received two smoking rooms ($28 per night value). In our late 70's and they put us on 3rd floor - no elevator, no help with luggage. One room hadn't been cleaned. Key didn't work for the other. Down stairs, got new keys, back up stairs and one new room. Both rooms smell terrible. In need of Febreze. You don't want to walk around w/o shoes. One room you can't shut off bathtub water. Down stairs again for keys to another new room on 2nd floor. Also bad smelling and dirty. Sheets and pillow case look slept on. No refund or reduction in price.
