Unprofessional behaviour
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/19/10
On September 18, 2010 my husband and I went to out and join a few friends at the double tree hotel (Maxis night club) we have been there many time in the past. Last night incident was uncalled for the hotel supervisor (shift supervisor unknown name). Around 12:15am exiting the building on the south end of the entrance, it was heavily rain so my husband decided to get the car. While I was waiting outside the building under the cover. Two of my girlfriend and I was having a normal conversation and at the time there were no one around except us ladies talking laughing, joking with our conversation, suddenly I heard a man voice telling me “Excuse me mam!, I don’t like it when you are using the F.U.C.K. words in my present” 3 of us pause and look at each other, then I turn around and “told him that excuse me we are only talking among ourselves and you are not in our conversation”, if you doesn’t like what you are hearing you have choice to walk away from us because it has nothing to do with you at all”. He said “I am the security manager in this place and it is a private property he can kick us out anytime he feel like”. I told him yes it’s true this place is a private property but it’s open to the public. At the same time this place serves as public services. It doesn’t give him the right to insult us and threaten and impose his wells to kick us out we are already outside. I ask him where your manner and he need to mind his own business; we did not cause any problem or disturbing peace to anyone. As of security guard his job is to de-escalate the problem not instigating the problem, he suppose to protect us not to start a fight with us. I think he confuse with his job description. He end up call 4 more security guard to come down and kick us out but we are already outside waiting for our car. Any one that read this incident pleases comments and let me know what do you think of this? I think this person is power tripping (trying to impose his well on us women). He very disrespectful personal attacks on us.

Ms. Ross

I recently attended a conference at the Double Tree Hotel in Sea Tac. Unfortunately, the hotel was booked and I stayed at the nearest Hotel across the street. The organization that was organizing the conference had made prior arrangements to have our group shuttled to our hotel. I would have walked but it was rainey and an elder co-worker found it difficult to do the walk. On two separate occassions I had an employee named Rameo refuse to shuttle us and he was extremely rude, I had told him that I would report his rude behavior and he told me that he did not care. I can not believe that the Double Tree would have such a rude employee working for them. I have stayed with other Double Trees before and had not encountered such rude behavior. I hope that they have not began to lower their standards!

Nice and quiet but watch the parking charges
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/10/06
The Doubletree is very convenient to the airport, this concerned me at first due to the noise factor it turned out to be no problem and the hotel was very quiet. I loved the luxurious beds and pillows. Our room was clean and restocked each day of our stay. The coffee shop was adequate. We enjoyed Monday night football in the lounge...more fun because Seattle was playing! We had delicious hamburgers there. I would stay here again. Make sure you watch on your final check out that you don't get charged for parking, we got charged for 2 days @ %14.00 a day and didn't even have a car! However they did take it off our bill.

Great Pool, Dirty Room
By Dawnell, 6/21/06
Everything was lovely except the room. The first thing I noticed was the note pad which still had the last guest's writing. When checking out the bathroom I found hair in the shower and toothpast on the faucet. Items left form previous guests included a half bottle of water under the bed, old phone cards behind the night stand, and a toy in the closet. In addition to all these things, the carpet obviously hadn't been vacuumed.

You can sleep, but don't eat there
By C, 5/27/05
Lodging was comfortable, but room had the feel of someone being in there after housekeeping. The tub was wet and there was change left on dresser. This is the third time I ate in a Doubletree hotel restaurant/coffee shop - never again. at 10:42 on a Sunday they told us they were not serving breakfast anymore, but yet people arriving after us were able to order from the breakfast menu. The food we did order - tasted horrible. Bottomline - it is ok to sleep there, just don't eat there.

Great Place to Stay
By Deborah, 5/23/05
This hotel was extremely close to the airport with a complimentary shuttle running every 15 minutes. Our check-in was quick. The non-smoking room was spacious and clean with no smoke odor. The hotel was extremely quiet. We didn't hear any noise from the airport, the hallway, or the pipes! We did not eat in the restaurants, but did order late night room service. The food was delivered quickly and it was outstanding. Try the Fish & Chips! For a hotel near Seatac, this was a great a place to stay.

Excellent Customer Service
By S., 5/12/05
I like that I usually get upgraded to a suite in a quiet area. My bed was very comfortable, and the room was not too far a way from the elevator. Complimentary use of pc's with internet access can be used in front of the Seaports restaurant. Also, when I check-in I get complimentary hot fresh baked chocolate cookies, bottled water, and a $10.00 gift certificate to use at their restaurants. The hotel is conveniently located near SeaTac airport, and a free shuttle will take you to the airport.

Great airport location
By Lisa C, 8/31/04
The Doubletree Seattle Airport makes flying in and out of Seattle easy. It is located just steps from the airport, but you'd never know from the quiet rooms. It has all of the comforts that Doubletree Hotels usually offer... in room coffee makers, yummy chocolate chip cookies on check in to name a couple.

The staff is warm and geniunely seems to care about all of its guests. The sports bar downstairs has nightly drink specials and the hot wings are great!

Got a great on-line rate for this gigantic hotel. Good location, adjacent to Sea-Tac. Lot's of dining options within walking distance.
