Loved It :-)
By ,
The service was excellent and the hotel was absolutely clean. Everyone that works there is very helpful and friendly. Both restaurants were great to eat at. The location is in the heart of downtown. You are in walking distance from many popular locations including Pikes Place Market. I would recommend The Purple Wine Bar located right across the street for dinner. I stayed at this hotel for a week and would definitely come back. I got a great deal on the internet, so I felt the hotel was quite affordable. I think you will fall in love with this hotel, it was an excellent vacation!!

One of the best for a reason
By ,
It has been years since i have been here. 2005 To be exact. And this is one hotel that will always stick out in my mind. The service, perfect. The rooms, spacious and clean. The bathrooms, elegant. And the lobby, 5 Star material. However, the only downside to this wonderful hotel is the price. Although, totally worth it in my opinion. I will be back!

Way Overpriced
By ,
Towels thin and scratchy. Housekeeping neglected to make up our room one day. Needs interior decorating update. Lobby, which looks burnished in photos, is actually painted a mousy brown which does nothing to showcase its traditional detailing. Upholstery on the chairs in our room was stained and showed obvious wear. Bathroom was elegant, and OK for showering, but when bathing I had to stand up in tub to reach faucet and add water. For half the price, this would be a wonderful hotel and we would have been more forgiving about the housekeeping lapse. But for the price paid, the accommodations should have been luxurious and the service impeccable, which they weren't. Location is great.

Overpriced

1. Nylon towels 2. No exhaust fan in bathroom 3. Couldn't get twin bed executive suite! 4. Priced way over the market. I felt like I'd been taken. 5. Restaurant not very good -- seemed to be skrimping -- e.g. very little cream holder for the oatmeal service -- that sort of thing. 6. Service quite good, and people were lovely, although car took 15 minutes to bring up. 7. Should have plasma TV's not clunky old CRT models. Our family has gone there for several generations, but it's time to move on.

Best Place I have ever stayed
By ,
We were invited to a wedding that was held at the hotel and had a wonderful 3 day stay there also. Everything was absolutely outstanding. The staff are exceptional, friendly and kind. The wedding reception was something from a fairy tale, truely elegant. We will be back.

The Fairmont in Seattle is Spactacular
By ,
It's centrally located. The staff is outstanding. The decor is classic with a Seattle twist. It's not the cheapest place to stay, but it's worth it if you can afford it.

I didn't want to go home!!
By ,
What a fantastic hotel. The staff, the dining, the location and the room were all wonderful. I travel frequently, and I put this hotel at the top of my list. Pricey, but worth it in every respect. I look forward to another visit to Seattle and the Fairmont.
