Bring your own pillow!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/15/07
1. The bed pillows are so full that my neck is stiff and sore; 2. There was hair from others' in the shower; 3. There was a ring in the toilet!! No refrigerator in the room. Requested room on river side of hotel, forget about it - even tho reservation was made weeks in advance. Sorry, folks, this was a disappointment. Guess it time to go to the Davenport!

Great value for Gonzaga visitors
By Quia, 06/23/07
At first I was turned off because the structure looked a little old. However, the grounds and interior are well-maintained and cleaned. The beds are comfortable, too. The pool, spa, tennis courts are all fairly nice. Bath & Body Works toiletries in the bathrooms are a plus! The hotel restaurant, Ripples, has good service, decent food (try the shrimp & chips) and a great view of the Spokane River. You can walk to G.U. in literally moments. I don't feel like I was cheated or that I skimped.

Great location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/30/07
The best thing about this hotel for us was the location. We were able to walk to the down town area as well as the River Front Park. Lots of restaurants to choose from. The Inn had been renovated but there were a few items that still needed work. Overall, we would stay there again happily.

Won't stay here again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/13/07
On the good side: The room was very comfortable, the beds were comfortable. On the bad side: Front desk very young and didn't know what they were doing, tried to charge us more than our reservation; The walls were paper thin, could hear conversations in the hallway - word for word; Housekeeping left our room door open (luckily all of our belongings were still there); Our key card didn't work the second day; Went to the bar late, ordered a snack before the chef went home, our order was wrong and the chef left and they couldn't fix us anything else.

Great hotel and location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/19/06
We stayed at the River Inn and found that this hotel which sits along great landscaped grounds on the Spokane River was a great place to stay. We were able to have free parking and could walk to Riverfront Park and downtown within 10 minutes. The hotel was clean and with renovated rooms - very comfortable. We will stay here on our next visit through Spokane

Second Class Lodgings
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/14/06
We booked well in advance expecting a room close to facilities. We were given a room in bldg. four with a broken toilet seat. We explained again the disability of one of us(weak legs due to M.D.) so they gave us a room in bldg Five, even further from facilities. Our room was not cleaned all three days and we received no clean towels or linnen. The continental breakfast was the worst we have ever encountered in the U.S.

Ski Chmpionships
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/15/06
We were in town for a kids ski race. They offered a breakfast for $7.00. The menu consisted of terrible scrambled eggs and undercooked hash browns, doughnuts, juice and coffee. Thats it. The food was poor at best. The kids banquet on Saturday night was in a room half the size they needed, there was not enough (bad) spaghetti to go around, and they actually asked parents to leave the room because there was not enough room.. Finally, if you rent a movie in the room, watch out. It will cost $10.99 ouch.

Unusual experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/31/05
We have stayed at the Red Lion Inn at the Park in the past, and had always had good experiences. However, on our last visit to Spokane we experienced what we believe was the worst service we have ever had at any of the Spokane hotels. *upon entering the room, we realized that we had not gotten the number of beds we requested in our reservation; *the toilet had not been cleaned in some time as was evident by the dark film coating the inside of the bowl; *the tub had not been cleaned out properly and there were bits of something sharp and crunchy underfoot in the tub. When we called the desk to ask that they send housekeeping to clean the bathroom, the person who came spent a few minutes working on the tub, ignored the toilet even when asked again to clean it, and announced that this was a "room with a problem", then left. Prior to 8:00 the next morning, housekeeping personnel were vacuuming outside the rooms. Needless to say, this was not a pleasant stay. The condition of a bathroom should not be explained away with "this is a problem bathroom". The problem should not be the guest's, but the management's. Additionally, our credit card was charged twice for the room, but different amounts were charged. We are still trying to straighten that out!

Most Comfortable bed Ever!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/13/05
We stayed only one night, but on a three week road trip of hotel after hotel I would definately say this hotel has the best beds ever!!! The staff was a little slower than the average bear but overall the hotel served our needs and if going through Spokane again I would definately stay there again.

Served our needs
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/10/04
We have small dogs. They set us up with a room with access to the outside. Our room was also close to the parking area so we had a short walk to the car. The room was clean and nicely appointed and they had a wireless network for my computer.
