Fairfield Inn Suites Williamsburg, Williamsburg

When we first got there we thought the room was very clean. Bedding looked clean and so did the bathrooms. We were there three nights and on the third night I looked in the bathtub and found a BIG roach/water bug (I think it was a roach). The hotel was good other than the third night I could not sleep because I assumed there must be more than one bug. The breakfast was not what the website claimed. The first morning there were no breakfast sandwiches but on the third morning they had some. We ate out the second morning because we were not impressed with the breakfast. I thought I had read there were supposed to be toppings for the waffles but there were none and I thought I read there was supposed to be bacon but there was none. It was not my best stay but other than the one bug it did seem to be clean. However the one bug was enough for me to never want to stay there again. Hopefully it really was just one bug?? I am sure hotels get complaints all the time but the hotel really seemed to not care about our little find in the bathtub/ not sure what I expected them to do about it though. The parking was limited because the parking lot was a shared parking lot with two other hotels. Our van did get a ding in it because we could not find a nice parking space. I hate to say so many negatives but they seem to out way the positives. It is at first glance a nice hotel but they need to update their website to have an accurate breakfast item list and if they do have a bug problem they need to spray really good once a week.

My family stayed at the Fairfield Inn Williamsburg this past June and had an excellent stay. We arrived in town early morning on a very hot day. After wearing the kids down around Colonial Williamsburg we still had a couple hours before being able to check-in. We called the Fairfield and they got a room ready for us to check into early. The staff was very courteous and the swimming pool was one of the best hotel pools I've seen in a long time. The hotel is conviniently located just minutes from the Colonial area and nearby many restaurants. The continental breakfast was great (with alot to choose from) and saved us having to buy breakfast before we left for the next leg of our vacation. We would definitely recommend the Fairfield Inn Williamsburg.

I was a little discouraged at first because the floor in the room needed vacuumed and there was a small stain on one of the sheets but the maid cleaned up the room rather nice the rest of the stay. I felt it was family friendly. We did not eat out for breakfast at all during our stay. My kids loved the homemade waffles! The pool was nice but the floor around the pool gets really slippery so keep an eye out for your little ones. I bought my kids water shoes while we were there to prevent falls. Also, my husband and I wished that the pool wasn’t so heated being that it was 100 degrees outside when we went. Overall, we were happy with our stay.

Fairfield in Williamsburg is one of the best hotels in the area. Rooms are lovely, clean, very convenient for families and singles, beds are comfortable and private from living area. Laundry on site is a nice convenience for moms. Breakfast is better than most hotels. Location is near Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown, Virginia.
