The Hilton Norfolk Airport is located four miles north of Norfolk International Airport and 18 miles from the Virginia Beach oceanfront. With easy access to Interstate 64, the central business district, the waterside area of Norfolk, and all of the areas major military bases are within a short drive of the hotel. This location is also one mile from Military Circle Mall, seven miles from MacArthur Center Mall and Waterside Marketplace, eight miles from Harrison Opera House, 15 miles from Hampton Coliseum, 35 miles from Colonial Williamsburg, and 40 miles from Busch Gardens. Hotel amenities include the three restaurants, ranging from the elegant Antiquities serving gourmet selections and fresh seafood, to Pasta Grande serving Italian favorites, and Le Promenade Cafe for casual dining including all-you-can-eat buffets and Sunday brunch. I gotta say this hotel really was great! P.S. if you use SweetHotelDeals. Net for booking this hotel they usually have some pretty good hotel deals at this time of the year!

Nice hotel

My husband and I just spent two nights at this hotel. The rooms were very clean and nice. Shower was great and the towels and the quality of the bed and pillows were very nice. The maid service was excellent and they replaced a light bulb for us very promptly. We were in Norfolk visiting family and our only wish was that the hotel could have been closer to where they lived.

Run away from this one!

This Hilton reminds me of a grand old lady...at a distance. When you get close you realize she is really quite shabby, worn out and smells bad. The rooms are dark and the lamps didn't work most of time. I had no choice but to remain in this hotel for a week and the whole place smelled dank and musty. The Wi-Fi connection is non-existent. Complaining to the staff did no good, the were indifferent to any problems. Initially we were checked into the wrong room, we had to move a consideraly amout of luggage and suppiles on our own, except for one bellman who forced the luggage cart through the door and damaged my suitcase. He then ORDERED me to return the cart to the lobby. I can't think of a redeeming feature about this hotel except leaving it. I tried to discuss the problems with my stay at check out and was brushed off. I tried calling the manager when I arrived home and was ignored. Finally, during the move from one room to another I left some items in the bathroom. Whne I called to retrive them, the items had mysteriously dissappeared. Bad service is one thing, but theft is another. Avoid this proplerty.

Not what I expected

I travel for a living and I spend alot of time in Hilton brand hotels. This hotel was not up to par. The rooms were dark, carpets stained and furniture and paint dented and scratched. If you are there to work - please choose another hotel! The connection in the room was worse than slow - more like non-existent and the business center charges per minute to use the computer/print - and that was even slower then in the room. The location is convenient, but I'm afraid that's the best thing I can say about it.

Excellent place to stay!!

We got a reservation last minute because our original hotel was a dump. I made an online reservation and had to call to add an additional day. Within minutes of arriving they were aware of my changes and were able to accommodate us immediately and this was at 1:00am! The rooms are clean and exceptional to many places we have stayed. The owner and desk clerk (Nathaniel) were very helpful and courteous. There is no refrigerator (unless optional) but with the Max & Erma's in the Hotel with room service and optional bed and breakfast delivered to your door, definitely made up for no fridge. Internet is included and easy to connect without messing with passwords and such. The bathroom is spectacular, the fitness center is well equipped with treadmills and weights, body balls, and very sanitary with towels, wipes and a sink. For anyone who is willing to pay the little bit extra will definitely get their moneys worth from staying here.

Decent hotel, especially for one at the airport, but walls are very thin (so can be noisy). In addition, parts of the hotel are under renovation again, so it is difficult to use things like the health club!!

Great location for travel!

As we all know, there is no place like home. But while at the Airport Hilton in Norfolk, Va. the effort is made to make you feel like your almost there. The rooms are moderatly decorated and more importantly the beds are quite comfortable. THe service recived wasn't the creme de la creme, but it was well recived. I would recomend to any weary traveler to stay at the Hilton!
