Decent & clean, hair turned green in pool.
By Amy, 08/16/09
The rooms were pretty decent; good sized, comfortable with a table for dining, a fridge, microwave and comfortable beds. The area seems pretty safe. It's a bit loud as it is literally right off the exit. There are a lot of tractor trailer trucks on the highway which runs right by the hotel so if you are a light sleeper (like me) that's not so great. The hotel lobby and breakfast room are very nice. The hotel staff is pretty nice attentive. My only real complaint would be the fact that my hair turned green after swimming in the pool. Yes, I dye my hair (blond) but I have been dying it for over 20 yrs. and have never had my hair turn green from swimming. My husband's swim trunks also were all faded after swimming so they are putting way too much chlorine or something in the pool or the wrong chemicals. (perhaps regular bleach?) I did tell the front desk girl. She said they test the water and don't put too much chlorine in. Well, I've been home 3 days and have washed my hair 4 more times and it's still pretty green. (Not completely, just the lighter areas, but noticable) Anyway, I guess we'd stay there again but I don't know if I'd use the pool unless I had a cap or something, which I really wouldn't want to wear. We'll probably look for another place if we want to swim. It's a pretty good value for your money if you don't care about swimming. Of course, if you don't dye your hair it's fine. Although I'm not sure how safe it is for you skin.

Looks better inside than out
By PJ, 07/12/09
Stayed 3 days, first day fridge/freezer didn't work and washcloths had holes in them. freezer never got fixed but towels were adequate after a complaint . Nice continental breakfast, outside looks kind of scary but inside rooms were done nicely, kind of scary area, laundry room looked like anyone used it, very badly kept. Rooms however were very nice and newly renovated. Pool looked clean but we did no use it.

Quick Visit...but Nice!!
By First, 10/23/05
The Ramada Inn is conveniently located off the interstate and there are plenty of restaurants in the area. We stayed here one night on the way home from Pigeon Forge, TN and it was a pleasant stay. The front desk staff was very nice, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the room looks like it had been recently renovated with new furniture. With a Triple A discount on a Friday night we paid $63.00 plus tax for our room. We felt it was a good value for our money.
