ill probably spend more for a better place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/15/09
first of all we got there and it looked crappy on the outside but fine in the lobby so we figured that it was ok. then our remote in our room was broken, the beddingseemed a little dirty and we were right next to the ice machine so we were kept up at night (but that wasnt too bad) the pool was cloudy the game room had a select variety of games. the location was terrible. i love williamsburg and i went in 07 and stayed at williamsburg plantation. it was worth the extra bucks. so dont try and save by going to the americas best inn make sure you read ALL reviews.

I will pay more for a better motel!
By autotech, 10/18/08
It was at $39.99 per night. But, it was not very clean. I guess you get what you pay for. They said they had internet, but it did not work. I even went to the front desk area, it still did not work. We did not get clean sheets overnight. The breakfast bar was not very good. It was the end of September and off season, but these things I mentioned should have been better. I will pay more for a better motel the next time.

Will NOT stay here again!
By TaraC, 9/20/08
Dislikes: Dust on headboards, one outlet didn't work and the cover was falling off. Iron stained my khaki pants and mgmt. acted like they didn't care. I was told there would be wireless internet in the room, but the connection was so low it didn't work. They supposedly reset it twice, but it still wouldn't work so I had to take my laptop and work in the Lobby. The room was just kinda grimy. We were in the farthest building from the office and were the only ones in that bldg. Where the ice machine was (outside) there were dirty towels laying on the floor. Likes: The lady who worked the night shift was very pleasant. The gas station across the street had the cheapest gas. The hotel was close to everything - food, shopping, etc.

The hotel is close to everything you want. The pool is nice and clean. the room are clean. I've been here twice and I love it. People are nice. There alot to do. I don't have anything bad to say. I enjoyed my stay. I will always come back.

DIrty
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/24/07
Many items needed to be taken care of after we checked in. Most were but the carpets were so dirty that our socks had to be bleached to clean them. And the shower curtain was also so dirty I had to demand it to be replaced which it was not.

The Favorite for Scottish Gamers
By Maiggea, 2/27/07
We loved coming in a large group for the Scottish Games, and were especially pleased to be able to bring the border collie. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the price was very reasonable. There were good local maps, too.

We will skip this hotel next trip!
First of all I feel this should rated a two star hotel instead of a three star hotel. Upon arrival at our room I noticed that the room was very dirty. There was mold in the shower, the air conditioner had mold growing in it, the carpet need cleaned and swept, and the room was in need of remodeling in general. The air conditioner was on high the entire two days of our stay but the temperature never got below 80 degrees in the room. The first night of our two night stay was very upsetting. There were kids (ages varied from about 7 to teenagers) running up and down the halls, screaming and slamming doors until well after midnight. We should have called the front desk, but my wife opted to yell at them around 12:30 AM and that seemed to put an end to the problem. The next morning we notified the manager and we were told we were not the only ones on that floor to complain (this did not surprise me at all.) The manager said the hotel's cerfew was 11 PM and if we had a problem the next night to call and security would be sent to the floor. My only question was that where was security the first evening? The second night was better, only screaming/running/slamming until 10 PM. Way too many problems even for a $98.00/night room. I would have paid $150.00/night not to have the problems we had and I will at another hotel the next trip to Williamsburg.

Close to Colonial Williamsburg
By mrambojr, 9/20/05
This Best Western location is very close to Colonial Williamsburg. This location has a indoor pool to help you relax after a long day in Colonial Williamsburg. I will definitely come back to this location again.
