I usually don't write reviews but this time I have too. We wanted a lower priced hotel but I wish I would have spent the extra $15 a night for anywhere else but here. The outside front of the hotel looked nice but that's where it ended. They claim it was recently remolded? By who a bunch of unskilled imigrant labor back in the 1970's. There was diffently no qaulity or pride put into any remodeling done at this place. Here are a few things that I didn't like about this place. 1) there is no on site parking 2) the free valet parking attendant is only there from 10:00 am til 6:00pm minus there hour lunch 3) the front desk lady in charge is rude and just plain mean. She will talk to the other employees about you (I believe) in some foreign language...Indian. 4) they only have two elevators which were so slow it became a sad joke with everybody who would wait on them. We were on the third floor luckily so we took the stairs down most of the time. 5) the room were small and just plain cheesy looking it was sad...lol 6) we had to call them to come and clean the room 7) the pool...omg it was so small and shallow and green. Plus the bar over looked it so all the perverted drunks can watch you and your kids swim or wade around in it. 8) do not get room 316 or the two rooms next to it. We couldn't even sit on our balcony because of these big air conditioning units blowing hot air on you plus we couldn't even hear the ocean over top of the noise from them. I honestly feel that this hotel is owned by people from India and is being ran with there family members. I feel that all they want to do is to make as much money off of you as they can and don't care if you actually enjoy your stay or not. Please think twice about this hotel and try to go somewhere else if you can. If not then good luck and I hope you enjoy your stay there more then we did.

You Get What You Pay For
By ,
While planning a quick weekend getaway I found this hotel online, the price was nice, and the pictures looked pleasing. However, upon arrival I found anything but! When we walked in there was nothing eye appealing, no plants, pictures, or decor....just the desk. Oh well we say it is the off season, right? WRONG. We walked to the elevator had to push the button twice to make it work...then had to push the floor button twice to once again make it work. We get off the elevator and the first few doors on the hall were laundry, housekeeping, maintenance, and staff only. When we finally got to the room you would push on the door and it would bend with one finger. After numerous attempts to open the door with the key the tragedy continued! You could feel and hear each spring in the mattress, the pipes above the shower had a steady drip, there was a brown puddle in the shower, and to top it off a very questionable stain on the shower curtain. After all of the above we went back to the lobby got our money back and went up the strip to another hotel. Save yourself the toil and spend an extra $15-$20 a night and get a higher quality hotel.

Skip This Hotel!!!!
By ,
Our room wasn't very clean! Checked in late at night got up next morning to take a shower the tub had little grey bug's crawling everywhere! Called the desk they sent someone one to spray for the bug's and to clean tub had to open door cause of the fumes from bug spray plus had to wait for the guy over an half hour to come to do it!!!! We asked them if we could move to another room they said there wasn't any available. They really seemed unconcerned.............All this for $209.00:( It was a very unhappy time for us but never again at this hotel!!!!

TRUST ME - You do not want to stay here!
By ,
This hotel was SO very bad that we stayed for one night out of the 4 nights we reserved. I went across the street to Days Inn, which was SO nice - I never knew Days Inns to be that nice! But anyway, at first we could not even find the hotel because apparently they changed their name - prob trying to get rid of all the bad publicity. I can't imagine what this place was like before they renovated. The desk clerk had half of her tatoo showing in the midd of her chest, which was my first impression of the place. Virtually NO employees except for the desk clerk I saw the whole time. The pool was the nastiest pool I'd ever seen & was SO small for the size of the hotel. I have a 16 yr old & a 12 yr old, and I would have never left them there alone. That was one reason we left....I didn't want to worry my whole vacation if my children were safe. The band at the nasty restaurant outside of the pool played until 1 am...needless to say, there wasn't a lot of sleeping going on. They painted over TILE for cryin out loud in the shower - I guess that was their style of renovations! I could be here all day about this nasty hotel. Just take my word, go the Days Inn. The price was CHEAPER (if you have Triple A), the room was 10 TIMES NICER & the pool was really nice & clean & the staff was the utmost professional like I've seen at high priced hotels.

Ridiculous
By ,
My college class of 10 students booked this hotel for 4 nights. When we arrived, there was a man standing behind the counter in a wife-beater tank top and covered in sweat playing on the computer and talking on his bluetooth. Completely Unprofessional. There was a lady there who "checked" us in who was very rude. The hotel had LOST OUR RESERVATIONS which we had confirmed 24 hours earlier and had planned almost 2 months prior. It took almost an hour and a half for them to find it. Again completely unprofessional. The view was not too bad but this hotel is supposedly "remodeled"... If that is the case, I would hate to see what it was like before. Cheap motel on the oceanfront. Guess you get what you pay for. The restaurant downstairs was not worth our time either. I went there with 3 others and when I received my food, the meat on my sandwhich was almost cold, our mac-n-cheese tasted like they forgot the cheese, and my friend found hairs in his potatoes. I can say one good thing about this place and that is that the bands that played at night were decent. I would not go back to this motel nor restaurant again and would never recommend it to anyone else.

Good for the price!
By ,
We stayed here two nights. It is a typical room with a great location. I read some of the other reviews and think most of you people are crazy. It's not the Hilton but it is a perfectly reasonable room. It was clean and had a nice ocean view. You can't beat the price. It's mostly snobby people with extremely high taste writing bad reviews, like the one guy that was there when we checked in complaining about not having a coffee pot in his room. Are you serious? All he had to do was ASK for one! I would stay again for sure!

Dirty filthy motel, dont book
By ,
First they have changed the name of the motel to drove around the block twice then found it was different name. had paid for 1 night over the net but reserved 3 nights. needless to say I stayed against my better judgement for the first night only because i could not get a refund. Supose to have 2 queen sized beds, had 1 bed and a pull out couch. room smelled of mold. bathroom dirty, so dirty i passed on taking a shower that night. had to park a block away. no parking near the motel. hallways dark and smell is nasty smelling cannot even describe what the odor is but it is bad. the front desk employee was rude, when i asked if I could change rooms due to the bed situation she said that is all she had, however vacancy sign lit up. the pictures you see on the net are not at all what you will get. I also was quoted a price 149.00 a night but when i got there they said prices have change since i booked and my second and third night would be 199.00. I went across the street got a motel room for 139.00 a night and it was beautiful, clean, close parking and nice staff. Think twice befor booking this motel. If you don't mind dirt and mold then you should be fine. I will never book this motel again

STAY AWAY !!! STAY FAR AWAY PUBIC HAIR IN JACCUZZI
By ,
Like most people I read the reviews and still book the rooms anyway because you couldnt beat the price on a hotel front room. Well when me and husband drove up to the hotel I thought it was a joke. The hotel its even call the atlantic sands oceanfront hotel. The change the name because atlantic sands didnt even wont to be contributed to this hotel anymore. The hotel is run down.. I even called to see if the reviews were true.. She lied to me... Their not even really a front desk. So before I even check in I ask to see room prior before signing anything,, The elevators are like terrible.. They squeak and shake really badly. Their stuff coming from all sides of the walls in every corner. Its dark in the lobby all the way down to the rooms like your in a jason movie.. And dont let me get started on the rooms. Well they showed us the double beds and that was a joke. It was so hot in the rooms you could have passed out. The room was so bad that if anyone had kids I wouldnt even allow them to stay in their. Then they show us a whirlpool suite.. THEIR WAS PUBIC HAIR IN THE JAZZUCCI... THAT WAS MY Q. TO LEAVE.. I SPOKE THE MANAGER/OWNER AND I TOLD HIM THAT THEIR WAS KNOW WAY I WAS STAYING AT THESE HOTEL.. HE CLAIM THEY DID A LOT OF REVONATIONS... I THINK THE MUST MEANT IN HIS OFFICE BECAUSE THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN FOR GOOD. Super 8. Hotel would have been better that that roach place.. I went to another hotel a block away and they said that they get most of their customers because everyone gets fooled by the internet pics.... PLEASE DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY NO TIME AT THIS HOTEL... PLEASE i TELL YOU.... THE STAFF ARE IDIOTS TOO. THE MANAGER EVEN YELLED AT HIS EMPLOYEE INFRONT OF US. And then if your disabled. For get about it. You have park across the street. The handicapp parking for one .

Stay Away!
By ,
It is bad...under renovation we were told, group of families with cheerleading children, - owners should have never let us stay there...dirty rooms, elevators getting stuck, dirty rugs, moldy mattresses, keys never working, dirty pool, - manager conveniently not on premises - it seems nothing has changed since 2009 - don't do it!!!
