Depends what you're looking for...
We stayed at the Brandon Inn for a wedding recently. The wedding was held at a different location... however, the Brandon Inn's interior is very spacious and interesting with plenty of room for events from what we could see. The Brandon Inn retains a real 1890's feel. Given this, you should expect some 1890's level of comfort-technology from noisy steam radiators and no TV's in the rooms (there are TV lounges on each floor). There are at least private bathrooms in each room which I believe the current owners added.
Granted it was off season (Winter), so I'd hope things would be different in the warmer months when they have more guests, but we were disappointed by a few things. For example, during our 2-day stay, we didn't receive any visit from housekeeping and we actually ran out of TP in our room. The steam heater was very noisy in the middle of the night (like 5am) and the temperature got very hot in the room. We heard from others that some rooms have electric heat instead of steam, so you might want to request a room without a steam radiator. On the plus side, the honeymoon suite we stayed in did have a very nice huge bathroom with a whirlpool tub. The staff people we met were both very nice and helpful.
If you're looking for a quiet escape back to a different time, this may be the place for you; however, if you would miss modern amenities or are a light sleeper, this place is probably not a good choice. The Brandon area seems very nice and picturesque.
