Their Staff Stole my $1,200 Designer Coat
My husband and I visited the Red Lion for skiing at the close of 2007. We enjoyed our time skiing, but our experience at the hotel was a disaster, most notably because my $1,200 designer coat was stolen by the hotel staff. The front desk clerk found the coat, apparently put it in the back where it sat for several days in an office secured by a combination key pad. Then it disappeared. I had left it the airport transport, and could have returned for it, but the front desk clerk assured me there would be no problem in mailing. I waited and waited. A week later Naomi tells me they couldn't find it. A few days later she tells me they had just found it, and it was mailed just the day before. So I wait again.... The hotel manager interviewed his staff, and it was never mailed and feels it was stolen the same as a camera had been there year before. I'm told that I will be reimbursed, but that has not happened yet. So again I wait.... Beyond this, the hotel has a VERY loud, trashy bar on the 13th floor. Granted it was New Years Day, but when we checked out there were multiple fresh stains throughout our floor that had been "addressed" as well as disturbing fluids in the elevator. This was by far our worst hotel experience ever, and I regret the entire trip because of it.
