Avoid this place at all costs!
By CSig, 8/5/10
This place was terrible. We had no power for most of the night and supposedly this happens fairly often. They do have a generator to keep their store running. They don't tell you they have crank flashlights you can check out until after they tell you that you can purchase candles and flashlights at their store! Same with air freshener. They told me to go buy my own even though it was their no-smoking room that smelled of smoke. Very BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! All they care about is taking as much of your money as they can. Rooms were fair. Shower was awful. Apparently when they installed the tub they missed a step and the tub was very unstable. If you want to stay here bring your own food because there is a 2+ hour wait for their restaurant. Food in their grocery store costs 3x more than a normal grocery. (Expect to pay $4 for a loaf of bread). It was a European Ghetto/ Tourist Trap. A very miserable experience.

Would not Recommend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/4/09
Made the mistake of leaving (4) North Face hiking shirts in a drawer on check-out morning. Reported my mistake later that day @ 4:30 PM and told the Lost & Found was closed and directed to call back next morning. Called back next morning, described shirts, told they were turned in. Drove back 80 miles to retrieve. Only (2) of the (4) were turned in! Connect the dots.

Would not stay there again for anything.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/23/09
When making our reservation I asked for a room on the ground floor. On the day we arrived, I was told I would get what they had. None of the rooms were ready until 4:00. They would not let anyone check in early. The front desk clerks had a very poor attitude. By that I mean they were just rude. They just laughed at the guests who were waiting to check in. When we got in our room, there was a problem with the bathroom pipes that made a continuous noise. They did move us to another room. Never again.

Right next to Bryce Canyon
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/9/08
First off we were there in off season when the hotel/campground area was not overcrowded. This place is huge and I can imagine what a zoo it might be during the summer. With that being said it was quiet and the rooms were good enough. This is not a five star hotel but it is quite doable and puts you right next to Bryce. The room was comfrtable enough if not a bit crowded with furniture (we satyed in a double queen) and the beds were comfortable. The diner connected to Ruby's was excellent and the portions were huge just get there before the tour busses land. The gift shop is also quite big and you could spend hours in it. Overall we were pleased with our stay. PS. Take the horesback ride on Thunder Mountain in Red Rock Canyon if you are so inclined. It made our trip! The four to five hour ride was amazing and our guide Skylar was outstanding!!! Amazing scenery and worth every penny!!!!

Cheesey money maker for the owner
By Mark, 4/23/08
It provides incorrect information about pricing and services. It regularly charges more than you were told. It never refunds, even if you did not authorize charges. The pool is unguarded, overrun by arrogant teenagers in plastic boats (!?) and guests are not able to use it- but they pay for it. The women's "changing" room is a single toilet with two shower heads full of dirty towels- I mean full- floor, sink, toilet- no shelves and two tiny hooks. There are no hair dryers but you have to travel to you room on foot or by car. My entire building had no ice machine. When I complained, they laughed at me. They charge by minute for"free" internet. Ot cup of coffee. They are very unfriendly as well.

Will look elsewhere
By DAVID, 9/3/06
Spent a couple of nights here in early August. The room was adequate but nothing special. Found the shops and reception area noisy and unwelcoming. The restaurant was so busy in the evening the queues were out into the Reception area so we gave up and struggled to find something to make a 'picnic' with in the store. Breakfast buffet was good though. Also the spa was closed. Best thing about Ruby's was the location - for the difference in price would book sooner and go into the park.

One Stop Shop
By Lance, 2/17/06
Everything you need. Horse rides, rodeo, two restaurants and wifi. A refreshing Oasis out the middle of nowhere. It is refreshing to see after driving past all of the dive motels on the way up there. We bought the Western Adventure Package and went riding in Red Canyon with Ruby's Red Canyon Horseback rides. It was the highlight of our trip.

Pricey and weak sevice
By George, 12/20/05
Motel rooms ok but not good. Service poor. Ice machines did not work at half of the locations in the motel. Food prices high for the quality.

Almost Dream Getaway
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/30/05
In August of 2005, we had a King jacuzzi room booked for 2 nights. The remote didn't work, but someone promptly fixed it. The jacuzzi didn't work, but they refunded to us the difference. What we enjoyed was walking to a great supper buffet and huge general store. It's a great center of activity if you want that, but then retreat to the quiet of your beautiful room. Book 4-6 mo. ahead next time for greater options. Stay in rooms 7002 to 7040 in the main building.

good hotel, not so good of a resturant
By rich k, 5/22/05
The hotel was pretty nice. The resturant left much to be desired. The attitude seemed to be, we are the only place around where else are you going to go. I would probably stay at the hotel again, but I wont eat at the resturant if at all possible.
