Great motel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/13/11
Very friendly and professional staff, quick check-in, rooms were very clean. I was very impressed with my stay. Heading back to Montgomery on 18 Feb and will certainly be staying here.

A great experience!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/14/10
We really enjoyed our visit. The accommodations were beyond our expectations; the staff was professional and courteous; and the free internet, breakfast, drinks, and food made the Drury head and shoulders above its competition. Thank you for a great stay!!!

Had a nice time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/28/10
We stayed here after the LSU-Auburn football game on October 23, 2010. Checkin was quick and efficient. The clerk was friendly. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast in the morning was great. The only complaint was the thin walls and door as any talking in the hallways could be heard easily in our room. But, this would not prevent me from staying here again if my travels take me to Montgomery. A great deal for the $98 I was charged (with taxes and all).

Not too happy!!!
By Barbara Gunter, 6/22/09
I loved the hotel itself. The manager's reception was nice. The popcorn and drinks were great. I loved that there was a Lonestar restaurant right next door and the take-out was awesome. The only disappointment was that they didn't open the pool on time either day we were there. The pool was the only reason my 6-year old and I went. My husband had a ball tournament and we just wanted to hang out at the pool. Both days the pool was supposed to open at 9am, it opened at noon. I was extremely upset by this as it was the only reason we were there. I enjoy getting out in the early hours as to avoid getting burned. The manager extended our checkout time by 3 hours to make up for the pool not opening for 3 hours. The day we were to check out, FATHER'S DAY, the sign at the pool said it would open at noon yet again. My husband was very upset as he wanted to hang out at the pool with our daughter for FATHER'S DAY. We just checked out early and demanded a refund. We were only refunded one nights stay and were told to call customer service for the other nights stay. Another thing is that the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything going on in the rooms next to you.

God have mercy on us.
By Jessica, 5/14/09
Our 10pm arrival saw both employees at the concierge desk socializing with instead of opening the front door for us. We were accidentally booked into a smoking room on a smoking floor which was oppressive as soon as the elevator doors opened. The room itself was saturated in oppressive smoke smell and I myself, as a smoker, was overwhelmed. I returned to the concierge and asked for a non-smoking floor/room and was informed that the hotel was booked up. I inquired on the following evening and she did not check or see what could be done, but merely informed that she "didn't think so" as "we're totally booked for tonight and tomorrow." Cheap, tacky furnishings, stained hand towels and a bare boned offering of toiletries (I wasn't looking to take anything home, but only one .75 oz bottle of shampoo/conditioner combo to be shared by two adults??) $90 seems like a stretch for accommodations as unappealing as these.

Great value for the price by Kasey
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/5/09
I have traveled the world and stayed in many hotels, but none compare to this place. I love the dirty sheets, mold on the towels, and the fresh scent of cat urine. Not to mention the police sirens and gun shots. The swimming pool was filthy, old body hair, old swim trunks, and the dirty diaper in the hot tub. Never go to the place

This hotel should be named "Dreary Inn & Suites"
By Kev, 3/4/09
Overview: Overall, I was very unsatisfied with my stay at the Drury Inn and Suites in Montgomery. Our school's Beta Club had to stay in this hotel for one night on a field trip, and I -- along with the rest of the Beta Club -- was filled with joy to be leaving the horrible place that should be named "Dreary Inn and Suites." Bad: Once we arrived, my group and I were given our hotel room key. We rode the elevator to Level 4 and finally found our room. The door key didn't work. I was sick and I really wanted to get some rest (It was 10:30 and we had to be awake then next morning at 6:00) so I beat on the door, and it magically came open. We stepped in, and found out that the room had been ransacked. Towels were everywhere, the beds weren't made, at least 10 beer cans were laying on the bedside table, the room reaked of mildew and urine. We quickly notified our teacher and she told us to go to the front desk in the lobby. What was really suprising was that when we went to the front desk, the man stated he was "surprised that we could even get the door to room 428 open." Shocked, he recruited us to room 429. Come to find out, room 429 was taken by another group on our field trip. So, we went BACK to the lobby's front desk, where we were finally given room 511 on Level 5. Nobody from our school was on level 5, so we were the only ones. This hotel room was okay, it was far tidier than 428, but our bed sheets seemed a little filthy, with a spot here and there. I vowed never to stay in a Drury Hotel ever again. Good: On the bright side, the breakfast at the hotel was pretty good, they had a wide variety to choose from, like biscuits, gravy, waffles, OJ, coffee, and overall the breakfast was pretty good. Slightly unorganized, the dining area was a little on the awkward side. I was sick, so I didn't eat alot, but everyone else seemed to enjoy breakfast. (On a scale of 1-10, 10 being best) Comfort of your room: 4 Staff and Service: 1 Condition of the hotel: 5 Food or restraunt: 8 Final word: Never going back again. EVER.

Will definitely go back
The first time we stayed it was wonderful. The employees were very friendly and kind. They were very helpful since we were out of town, They did all they could to help us since we were there for my aunt to have surgery. The hotel was only about 5- 10 minutes from the hospital and that made it so much easier getting back to the hsopital. The next time my other aunt had surgery and they were super nice again. They treated my family members with kindness and respect every time asking how the patient was. Can't ask for better service. The beds were so comfortable I slept like a baby and did not want to get up the next morning. The rooms were all quiet and not noisy. We are in the process of going back again next week to Montgomery and the first place we called and the only place we made reservation for was the Drury Inn because of the staff and the feeling we had of being at home with family. The social hour we did not get to participate in when we were there the last times. But the breakfast was good. Thanks again for making our family feel right at home. Keep up the good work. See all soon on 1/21/08. Susan

What more do you need?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/15/07
Free happy hour, popcorn, sodas, breakfast buffet, on line, long distance, indoor pool, fitness equip., hot tub, right next to Outback and Longhorn steak house. The staff is aiming to please if you can come up with something they didn't. Price was right for all you get. Very, very clean!
