Park and Fly Rate (You need to know)
I recently stayed at the Country Inn and Suites Denver Airport and parked there while I was gone to Michigan. The room was great, but when I returned I found that someone had thrown a beer bottle (part of the bottle was still in my tail light, along with shards of glass stuck all over my car) at my car breaking my tail light out and taking chunks of paint out of the side of my car.
When the General Manager contacted me the following day, she stated that it is generally not hotel policy to be responsible for theft or damage to vehicles parked in their parking lot.
Although when I checked in I asked the clerk where I needed to park. She said that I needed to park anywhere in the front of the hotel or in the back because they had video cameras, but not on either of the end hotel.
The manager stated that they are checking to see if there was any partying going on in the parking lot to see if they could hold another guest liable, but have not heard anything as of yet. Therefore, it will be my insurance that pays for it and my rates that will go up.
So if you plan on staying there and using their park and fly rate be sure and read their policy or you might just be in the same boat as me!
