location was perfect
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/14/07
The location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over the United States and enjoyed visiting with them.

Nice place to visit, but wouldn't recommend you live here.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/11/07
When we moved from Ohio to LV, it was one of the last places we looked at because we were tired of living in hotels anymore. The male rental agent was very professional and honest with us. He showed us the apartment and it seemed nice enough. It is on the small size for the money and less than two blocks from da hood! There are few places to shop for the things needed of high quality. Looking at the short term housing, they were really nice, but those who end up signing a year long lease get those that are not up to par for the money. The gym has broken equipment, the pool is not lit at night and people often leave the gate open. The police seem to be there more than we are for various reason, but you cant pick your neighbors. Often security is rarely available making it seem very questionable. On many occasions, security were no where around. For what its worth, there is no need for gates in the complex, because people push the gates so that they do not close. There is new staff every time you go to pay your rent. We have had many inspections for various reasons. It has been a year and things still do not work. I would not recommend the apartment portion of this complex for anyone who feels they want a little more quality for their money.

last place in vegas
By NO KIDS, 05/11/07
It is May 2007, they still have not repaired the hot tub or the sauna and I was there for a year. This complex is great if it is the last place in Las vegas you go to and realy need a place to stay. Look around before coming to this complex because North las vegas police should make this complex a sub station because there are there so much.

Great Idea!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/13/07
The only drawback to this place is the location, however it has easy freeway access to get you to the strip if you have a vehicle. this place is perfect for out of town sports teams that are in town for tournaments...lots of amenities that you need (like laundry, full kitchens, and a pool). call the hotel directly even if you see that they are fully booked through one of the travel dot coms...they may still have units available.

Great experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/29/06
Overall staying at Loma Vista Suites was a great experience. We were there dealing with some stressful family stuff and found Loma Vista to have a roomier more "home-like" atmosphere. It was only 15 minutes from downtown and easy to get to. Grocery store nearby, etc. Nice amenities. Quiet, safe. My only negative is that they need to let you know you need to check in BEFORE 6:00 p.m. or pay a late check in fee. And if you don't know about the check-in by 6:00 you may have to find someplace else to stay for the night!!!!! Otherwise I highly recommend it esp.if you want something other than the typical casino hotel experience!

Depends on what you're here for...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/31/06
The Loma Vista is a condo complex that got built way the heck out of town on cheap land about 20 years ago and they are still trying to sell all the units -- some are therefore up for short term stays. You pay for your entire stay upon arrival, so if you don't like it...kinda tough. These places are clean and spacious, well-kept, pretty quiet. A fair value but the Loma Vista is 'way out in the burbs...or maybe the 'hood. The entrance is actually on Martin Luther King Boulevard, but I guess they don't want to tell you that. Some of the surrounding neighborhoods are a little depressing. We came for outdoor rec out in Red Rocks, and it's at least 45 minutes from the Loma Vista to the west end of LV, by freeway. About 15-20 minutes to the Strip. Not close to much of anything except strip malls and the North LV airport, although there is a Starbucks on the corner. The office says open 9-5, but there is usually no one there. If you need anything, or get locked out (see below re gate...) plan on fending for yourself. Rooms are cleaned only when you leave, so if you like maid service, this isn't the place. Ample towels, good kitchen, your own laundry...but no cleaning supplies. Bring your own sponge, I guess. Umm..OK, a little more truth in advertising: the pool is small, unheated and freezing cold. The hot tub you could boil lobsters in. No wireless or internet. The car gate works...sometimes. After you get locked out you discover that the sidewalk pedestrian gates are always open. Place seemed safe enough, though. Furniture is inappropriate for small children (glass tables with sharp pointed iron feet on everything...). No cribs or high chairs. (We recommend mommyrents.com...) No playground or nearby parks or rec. This place is nicer than many of the older or cheaper hotels and if it was located more centrally, I would recommend it highly for comfort, space and price. So I guess it depends on what you're in LV for, and how pushed you are for time.

Liked the space over just a hotel room and no smokers around us. Easy in and out and nice place to stay all around

A Home Away From Home
By Stephanie, 09/29/05
Whenever I take my children to Las Vegas we always stay at The Loma Vista Suites....these Condo's are like a home away from home because you have all the amenities that you would if you were at home- -Laundry-Dishwasher-Pool-Jacuzzi-Excercise Room & they are spacious too.
