Daughters Birthday!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/25/10
Our experience with the Snowcap has been a great one. Had family stay a few months ago, staff was friendly and made sure we had a good rate on the room. We rented a room last night and were able to have my daughters 9th birthday party there. They provided us with the breakfast room. Kids had full use of the pool and hot tub area. It worked out beautifully for a mid winter birthday party!!

Never Again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/18/07
The hotel is located literally in the Safeway parking lot and adjacent to a hardware store - in my opinion, it's not the best location. After making my reservation and calling to confirm on a 2nd call, when I arrived, they lost my reservation completely. They gave me the reservation/room of someone with a familiar last name, which in turn left them roomless. There was no apology given for the lost reservation, and to top it off, I had to pay the large rate of a drop in guest! I will be contacting the manager tomorrow, as there isn't one available at all times), to complain. I wouldn't recommend to anyone!

Worst Western
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/06/07
First of all I was pleased with the bed. It was soft and I was comfortable. The comfortable bed was negated by the lack of cleanliness. I found a used ketchup package from a fast food restaraunt by the bed along with rubber bands and b-b's on the floor. The tub and the bathroom floor had many hairs on them, all there to greet me as I checked out the bathroom. Ick! The walls were thin. I could hear the person next to me blowing his nose in the shower like he was in my shower. The staff was surly. On checking out I asked the woman behind the desk how her day was going and she actually sneered at me. No answer, just a sneer. I won't be returning. Not memorable in a good sense. Overpriced for the package.

Not conducive....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/27/05
1 king bed, w/oversized soaker tub. No glasses in the room, but thin styrofoam cups were in ready supply. The oversized soaker tub was just that, minus jets. No telephone books in the rooms. If you want one... borrow it from the front desk. A $400 fine for smoking in the room is strictly enforced. I brought a candle for the oversized tub, to set the mood, but I never lit it.... Didn't want to take a chance on being fined. No DVD player, just a TV. No outlets in the bathroom, in case one person wants to sleep, while the other wants to prepare for the day. The "Lodge" is tucked back between a Safeway store, and the freeway. I won't be staying at the Snowcap Lodge again! My rating is a solid C-.
