Homewood Suites By Hilton Philadelphia-Valley Forge, PA, Audubon

Extremely nice. We used it for the Army Navy game weekend 12-1-06 thru 12-3-06. Stayed 2 nights. Any contacts with the staff were very positive. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. Very, very clean rooms and common areas. Comfortable beds; king in one and 2 queens in the other. A tub in one bedroom, a shower in the other bedroom. Three(3) TVs and free HBO. Large closets and plenty of drawers. Has other amenties that we did not use. A pool in summer, an exercise room and free high speed internet. There is a nightly serving of hors d'oeuvres Mon thru Thurs but since we were there on a weekend I can't rate it. Very nice lobby and a tall area they call the lodge with fireplace and couches, tables, chairs and desks. A hot breakfast with many choices is served right off of the lodge and you eat in the lodge. Lots of shopping nearby and of course Valley Forge National Park. Adjacent to the Homewood Suites' parking lot are 3 restaurants and a gas station/convenience store. Other restaurants are within a 5 minute drive. An ice cream shop is a minute walk. A Home Depot, Walmart and Office Depot are walkable as are other retail but these big boxes and a Long Horn restaurant are catty-corner to the hotel; convenient but their presence won't overwhelm your stay. The King of Prussia Mall and surrounding retail area are around 15 minutes away. To get to 30th street Amtrak Train Station it took around 30 minutes on a Sunday morning and 45 minutes to the Sports Complex-Liberty Financial Football Stadium on a Saturday morning. A Friday night trip to the Norristown Transportation Center SEPTA bus and train took around 15 minutes. Upon returning from the football game Sat. night 3 police cars and one EMT vehicle were responding to a guest's health episode, so the community can attend to emergencies. Good to know but hopefully something you won't need to experience. About the only suggestion I would have for the hotel is to create a handout sheets of how to get to the top 25 most common destinations with directions and a map. It was easy for me to get lost in this semi-suburban area, especially at night, in both '05 and '06.
