Never again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/21/11
This place is dirty. The toilet ran all night, the tub was filthy, and the halls smelled like cigarette smoke. The air freshener they sprayed in the room was heavy and perfumey. The walls are covered with touch up paint that does not match the wall. The only positive is that the the staff was friendly. Make every attempt to avoid this hotel.

Absolutely no customer service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/13/11
Upon check in, the front desk clerk made me feel unwelcome. She never welcomed me, told me about the hotel, or thanked me for staying there. The only words she uttered to me through the whole process was "Enjoy your stay" when she handed me the keys. The room was dirty, cobwebs on the ceiling in multiple places, trash in the dresser drawers, hair on the towels, hair in the tub, hair on the bathroom floor, hair on the linens in BOTH beds. I expressed my dissatisfaction with my stay with their guest assistance line prior to writing this review in order to give them a chance to adequately rectify the situation. Nine days later, I have yet to be contacted by the hotel. After seven days, I re-emailed their customer service and told them I had yet to be contacted by the hotel. They assured me the hotel had until the end of business that day to contact me and if not, I would hear from a customer care representative the next day. When I contacted them today to let them know I still had not heard from anyone, they told me the hotel needed time to resolve the issue and offered me a $50 voucher toward a future stay. WHY would I want to stay with them again when it's obvious they don't appreciate my business? WHY would I want to stay in a dirty room again? Save some money and hassle and go down the road to the Comfort Inn & Suites. That's where I'll be taking my business from here on out.

stay away from here!!!
By MelissaC, 6/30/09
Place was the cheapest of the local chains in the area. Booked two nights because I was working in the area. Got in, room was ok, at first, found pacifiers and cell phone chargers on the floor under the bed, obviously they don't clean too well. And to top it all off, someone came into my room while I was at work and stole my hand gun I kept on the end table for my personal protection. Of course, no one knew anything about it, called the police department and filed a theft report. Got told the owner would call me, never did. Someone stole my $700 pistol. No one ever changed my linens or gave me fresh towels either. Total crap hole and the people are shady. PD told me that there is narcotic traffic coming in and out of there!!! Don't go anywhere near there.....

They hate terminally ill people
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/6/08
We order 2 rooms queen beds in both, smoking...we were told there was no smoking available and that no queen beds and we had to pay $20.00 more than what we booked. At 12 ;30 am they contacted us and moved us to 2 rooms smoking with 2 beds in each room. My mother who is terminally ill, had an accident, but we are always perpared for this so, we had already put things down to protect the bed, I went down and got a new sheet and told the guy at front desk.. Also on our beds in the other room there was burn holes on the bedspread, but I overlooked it just thought thats the price you pay for smoking..So we checked out the next day checked everything, nothing was wrong...About 11:00pm on the 5th, we got a call from the manger Shelia, and she cused my mother for being sick, and said the bed was ruined, which we took a picture cause we travel and stay in motels a rate them about 6 times a month....Now we have to pay $100.00 extra for each room!!! So our stay there costs us $400.00!!!! We've stayed at the Hilton for less...Don't stay here!!! They're rude, hate, and have not compasion for sick people... Loretta, and Shannon

Great!
By Christopher Robbins, 11/25/07
I stayed there over the Cherokee National Holiday. Good clean rooms, friendly staff and the swimming pool area was clean. I would not have a problem recommending this motel to anyone.

Manager/Owner needs a course in customer service.
By becky cole, 3/5/07
First let me say our only complaint is w/the owner/manager. He was rude and caused us embarassment. We were in the pool area when the owner/manager (by the name VJ or BJ) stuck his head in the door and asked our party if we were guests with a room at the hotel. He was rude and loud enough anyone around could hear. We told him yes, he then told the children they could not swim because they were not staying at the hotel. We told him yes, they were and he said no, they weren't, because our room wasn't a double. We told him yes, we have a double room and he continued to argue with us. When he realized he was wrong or mistaken he never, not once, apologized or conceded that he was wrong in how he handled the situation. He said he'd rather make us unhappy than get sued over a nonguest swimming in his pool. I told him I understood his concern for that kind of liability but he was still wrong in how he handled the whole situation. We were paying guests of the hotel and were made to feel embarassed, like we were trying to cheat him. Later, one of his employees that was present during this conflict apologized for the manager/owner's behavior, saying he was wrong and she was sorry for the way he acted and treated us. We often use hotels in this town and will NEVER visit this one again, we will go 1/2 mile down the road to Super 8, or Holiday Inn Express.

Stupid is as stupid does
By steve g, 6/20/06
They offer eggs with breakfast unless they can't figure out how to get more when they run out. Of course after a few days anyone with a brain would eventually run off to the Wal-Mart that's located just a half mile away and purchace some.

Tahlequah Wedding Trip
By Ada, 6/2/06
This is a lovely, clean small hotel. Service was good and very nice breakfast included with the room. Indoor pool & gym nice. Location is convenient, just on south side of town. It's about 10 minutes north of the university, and about the same south to Tenkiller Lake and the Cherokee headquarters. We will stay here again!
