NOT ROMANTIC AT ALL - JUST RUSTIC
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/28/09
My husband and I went to The Lazy Cloud for our 5th anniversary. We were extremely dissapointed. When making the reservations the person on the phone said it blew away Sybaris, not even close. The rooms were small, did not feel clean. The water is rusty when it is turned on, then plain cloudy. There was no hot water for the whirlpool, just luke warm. They do not have TV's in all of the rooms and do not advertise there are no TV's. When using the blow drier, we blew out the circuits. The bathroom is so small you can barely turn around, and the door to the bathroom is a sliding barn door. The breakfast was 2 muffins that were hard. We would NOT recommend the Lazy Cloud to anyone. You want romance - Go to the Sybaris.

WOW!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/25/08
An absolutely amazing experience for my wife and I. The room was romantic yet homey, and all the furniture was quiant. The service was kind, and discreet. Everything was very intimate, romantic and privatre. The games in the room and the on-going journal were especially fun

Wonderful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/05/08
My husband and I went in the winter when it was snowing and it was beautiful, quiet and refreshing. Rooms are clean and quaint. We filled out our page in the guest room book, it was fun to read what some of the people wrote but reader beware also. The whirl pool tubs were clean and a good size. Wonderful times!

Will definitely return
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/02/05
My wife and I went here for our anniversary - our stay was excellent! Very quiet and private, all of the rooms are very well guarded from the highway. The bed was very comfortable, and the whirlpool tub was very roomy, even for two. Would recommend not reading the guest book until the last morning of your stay, however - some folks leave fairly graphic descriptions of their stay in there. Also, try to go during the week or in the off-season when the Inn is fairly empty. We went on a Thursday night and stayed in the Stone Grotto room, which is in a building with four other rooms, and there was nobody else in the building - no worries about bothering other guests!

A fabulous little getaway.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/17/05
It’s a very cozy escape that isn't too far from Chicago. The room we stayed in was the Dreamcatcher it was spacious and decorated in a small cabin theme with a fireplace and large jacuzzi tub. Amenities were less than par I suggest bringing your own: wine/champagne (what’s included isn’t good) music, candles, snacks etc. A little over priced due to the location not near the water and given there wasn’t a meal included. The large porch had a swing that would have been great if it hadnt been snowing out...
